The atmosphere at Shift is always friendly and inviting and the service is always impeccable.
Lol. This is a BAR... SALON should be SALOON....
I love Tracy and the owner! They are truly beautiful people that can transform your life with a great cut!
My stylist David gave me the best haircut I've ever had! It was a Precision Bob cut and he did a terrific job with layering and stacking, carefully sectioning as he went along. I've received nothing but genuine compliments 4 my beautiful haircut so kudos to David and the honeycomb salon!
Everyone is very nice. I went in asking for full highlights and a cut. Before the stylist started with my hair I told her that my hair tends to want to turn red when color is used. Unfortunately, my hair turned out orange with highlights. I even waited for my boyfriend to get home and see if he noticed anything, and right away he noticed my hair was orange-e instead of the natural blonde I was wanting. The hair cut itself was good! It wasn't the worst job. But I was expecting much better for the $215 I paid not including tip.
The salon is adorable, the people are great. Nestled away "on the bricks" of Camp Bowie Blvd, this salon really is the bees knees! They have online booking, which is great because you can make your appointment 24/7.The salon is in what appears to be an old house. They have vintage-y furnishings and each stylist has his/her own station done in their own personal style.I have gone to Mandy to get my hair done for years. She is amazing because she is such a good listener and communicator. She will take your idea and give you her advice, and transform your hair! She is the only one I trust to do my hair. She can give you a change without causing you to freak. She is a wonderful stylist and I love this new-ish salon! (Not sure how long they've been open.)
Best hair cut ever and the stylist are great especially Adriana Frias one of the ladies that work there professional and friendly
As I was waiting for a massage, a man (who I later found out was the owner) told me that AC workers were on the roof and that he hopes it wouldn't interrupt my massage. Since this was for my wedding, I had no way to reschedule and was assured they would be gone shortly.Well, all I heard during my massage was banging, drilling, and men yelling right outside my door and on the roof. I could not focus on relaxing, not even for 5 minutes, without someone banging or causing a disruption above me. The workers were RIGHT OUTSIDE my door talking in Spanish and leaning RIGHT up against the door, which made me scared they were going to come inside. I even heard the doorknob jiggle. I was completely nude and hearing strange men right outside my door was extremely uncomfortable. When I left the massage room, I was obviously upset and crying. The front desk lady tried to charge me full price, and only took off a measly $12 after I (through tears), let her know that I didn't think I should have to pay for the massage. I started sobbing in my car and called back again on my way home, again asking if there was anything else they could do. Of course they didn't do anything.I sent the owner an email explaining what happened and asking him to credit the massage back to the gift card on file and he refused, because I "had already received a discount" of $12. After several correspondences, he told me that he would no longer be responding to me and that my opinions were not valid because no one else complained. At 11am on a Thursday. I guess they need several complaints piled up at once before they determine that someone's concerns are valid?I felt so taken advantage of, vulnerable, and exposed. These money hungry folks refuse to credit back the cost of a massage to a 5x repeat customer because of a horrible experience and just give defenses about how great they are instead of actually making it right with their customers.
I was a walk-in trying out their Salon. Michael stated that It would be 10 minutes. So, I waited for Michael to finish up. Meantime another customer walked in and signed in. Not so bright Michael suddenly recalled that this guy had an appointment but had forgotten to put him in the scheduling book. All he could say to me was "Sorry sir, he had an appointment." He didn't offer to cut my hair after he finished this guy up, just I'm Sorry Sir. First, Not so bright Michael's word is no good, don't believe what he says. Second, if you schedule with not to bright Michael, make sure he writes it in the book. Third, not so bright Michael needs to learn how to handle customers. Not so bright Michael shrugged his shoulders to asking him about getting a cut. "I am sorry sir". Find somewhere else if you want an honest business to work with.
