While celebrating my daughter’s 12th birthday, I was trying to participate in the activities and wound up spraining my ankle. While I was resting my ankle it made me realize, since having children, I had not focused on my own health. Being in my mid-forties, I had gained a significant amount of weight, was having general aches and pains and could not participate in activities without being exhausted in a short amount of time. Not to mention my blood pressure and cholesterol levels were quickly rising. I was overweight and out of shape! I decided then, it was time for a change. As with anyone who has a career and children, time was a huge factor. I did not have 2 hours a day to dedicate to exercise and also needed something close by or I knew I would not go. I found Brown Fitness Kettlebell Boot Camp and it was perfect!!! The gym is 5 mins. from my home in Fort Worth and has a wide variety of hours that allow me to attend after work. It is a vigorous workout that includes strength training, resistance training and cardio all in 45 mins. The first week I was embarrassed and nervous that I would not be able to keep up. Erik was amazing. He worked with me personally and provided nutritional advice that was realistic. Erik even sent emails to check my progress and make sure he was meeting my needs and expectations of a fitness coach. I never felt out of place because the workout is based on each individual instead of keeping up with everyone else. He pushed me to challenge myself and never made me feel guilty or ashamed if I couldn’t do something. Erik was able to adjust any exercise around my ankle that was still healing and any other health issue that arose. A year later, I am so much healthier. My blood pressure and cholesterol is much lower, I have better balance and endurance and my strength has improved immensely. I have tried workout tapes, gyms, spot-reduction gimmicks, and multitudes of weight loss programs and diet pills and have never made it more than a couple of months. I started the Kettlebell Boot Camp with a month-to-month option unsure if I would keep it up and here I am a year later with no intention of quitting. I love going to class and my family loves how much happier and healthier I am. I even have my 9 year old workout with me at home. Thank you Erik, for changing my life!

I am a 42 year old female with 2 college age kids and I started Camp Kettlebell with Erik Brown on May 9th, 2011. Prior to starting his class I was feeling tired every day, no energy and honestly felt like I was going into a mini depression. I chalked up my symptoms to being pre menopausal but was determined to snap out of my funk somehow. Immediately after my first class my energy level changed which was so amazing and encouraging. After a week I became a different person mentally! I now wake up every morning very energized around 7:00 a.m. compared to dragging myself out of bed daily between 9:30 and 10:00. I used to wake up every night and could not fall asleep for hours and now I am resting completely through the night. The belly fat I had accumulated over the last couple years is now almost gone after 6 weeks and I have a substantial difference in my over all strength and muscle tone consisting all over my body. I use to dread going to the gym to work out because it was so boring and I didn't feel like I was getting the results I needed. After 6 weeks of Camp Kettlebell I sincerely feel like a new woman and I have to admit I am now a "Boot Camp Addict". LOL Erik is an amazing trainer who motivates you with encouragement, knowledge and positive energy and enthusiasm. I loved working with Erik Brown at Brown Fitness, not only does he know his stuff by mixing up the exercises daily, but he really pushes you and he generally cares about your progress also which I found refreshing in a boot camp setting. I visibly saw results in just a couple of months; I lost about 30 pounds going from 240 to 210 currently, and gained a ton of endurance and confidence. I am the type of person who needs the class structure vs. just going to gym and lifting weights to be interested and Erik's classes were just what I needed. The personal training exercises were always changing and very challenging. I think what differentiates Brown Fitness Boot Camp from other health clubs group classes is the size of the classes which are small enough to feel like you are getting personal attention and the fact that Erik walks around and makes sure you have proper form so you don’t get injured. I guess my only complaint would be the number of classes to choose from but I understand that when you are one person you can't have a class every hour of every day. I would highly recommend Erik to others.
I highly recommend Camp KettleBell with Erik Brown! This is a fun and effective boot camp that has given me the best results I have ever seen from a workout routine. In the past I always worked out with a personal trainer but never saw results anywhere near as good as what I have seen from Camp KettleBell. I have to admit, I was leery of joining a group workout routine, because I was afraid of not having the one on one time, as well as, being embarrassed about the shape I was in. I HAVE NEVER FELT THAT WAY IN THIS SETTING. You do receive one on one attention from Erik and the class allows you to push yourself to your own personal limits. The environment is very positive and motivating, never negative and embarrassing. I have been able to loose 25 pounds and keep the weight off for over a year . I truly enjoy coming to class 3 times a week. The routine is always different and never boring! If you are looking to get in shape, there is no better way than through Camp KettleBell!
I am 35 years old and have been working out at traditional gyms for about 15 years after graduating high school and then quit due to "life happens and being bored". I had a baby and wanted to get back into shape as I have always been pre-preggo state. I found Erik while researching Kettlebells because I wanted to do something different and didnt have time to go back to gym and wait on machines. I was amazed at how fast I returned to my beautiful shape and even better after training with Erik! I enjoy the workouts because they are fast and to the point, but also very fun! Erik is a great instructor and I am a lifetime customer! I highly recommend Brown Fitness to all of the women in Fort Worth!
I love Erik Brown's Kettle Bell Boot Camp. The workouts are fast paced, challenging, and always different. I love this Boot Camp because it is indoors and with multiple times offered allowing the flexibility a working mother needs. In addition, I have tried many gyms and workout programs and quickly became bored and unmotivated and never saw results. After nearly a year, I am still motivated and excited to attend Erik's kettle bell class and have noticed a complete change in my body's shape and definition. Erik is a high energy guy who motivates and encourages you to push your fitness limit. Erik Brown's Kettle Bell Boot Camp is definitely recommended to anyone serious about getting into shape.

I was in pretty good shape when I started and really looking to maintain my figure. I have noticed some additional definition in my arms which we girls love when it comes to sleeveless Texas weather. What can I say about Brown Fitness? It has literally transformed my life...Erik is an awesome instructor! He always keeps it fresh with new exercises and I always feel like im doing something different. I've been going for about 3 years and I would definitely recommend Brown Fitness to others. His exercises are only part of the benefits, there is also the nutrition side which is rare in a gym. I am the type of person that needs to be pushed while exercising and Erik does that.
