Just finished lunch at Horseshoe Hill. The food is as good as ever. Dang near perfect. Those carrots are fantastic, and I’m a serious carnivore.
I have given the Flying Cadrpet Cafe several chances now, and each time the service was atrocious. I can't imagine why this place is still operating. The GM and chef, Devon Doyle, is the worst. Just try complaining to her about the food. She will argue with you and treat you like some homeless p…

7. Fred's Cafe
I had my first Fred's experience recently and they now have a customer for life! The inside is small and diner-like with Gene Autry movies playing on the TV's, good country music playing and concert posters on the wall. My husband and I went at an ""off"" time, as we tend to get out and about …

This restaurant is in the stockyards, therefore you should expect a authentic real Texas style cowboy restaurant; and that's what this is. This is where you go when you're wearing your cowboy duds. It has a jukebox so bring a lot of quarters. You sit at the table with the checkered tablecloth an…
I worked there for 4 months. The owner has a very bad attitude, don't know how to talk to people. He has given all the venders that deliver there hot checks, including paying employees hot checks including myself..he also has rat in the back storage where potatoes onions pasta etc......he has had over 100 employees in a year time..very easy job but I wouldn't recommend any one applying to work here.
This restaurant is in the stockyards, therefore you should expect a authentic real Texas style cowboy restaurant; and that's what this is. This is where you go when you're wearing your cowboy duds. It has a jukebox so bring a lot of quarters. You sit at the table with the checkered tablecloth and you order from the menu Texas style dishes and they taste very good. You sit around and talk with your friends. You get a large glass of soda. Real Cowboys and ranchers may be eating all around you. A few might be eating at the counter It's that Texas cowboy feel, the real authentic thing that the star café has and it's situated in the historic Fort Worth Texas stockyards!
I normally don't do reviews but this place deserves the effort to share my experience. When we first walked in and looked at the menu, we question if we wanted to stay for lunch. But WOW! We are so glad we did. The food was outstanding. There were six of us, all selecting different dishes. Everyone throughly enjoyed what they ordered. The menu does not adequately convey what you get or how good it is. And the side dishes are as gourmet as any fine restaurant. The roasted vegetables and what they called cream corn, which was actually roasted corn off the cob, along with their steamed sautéed string beans, were not only delicious, there was plenty to share. You order and pay at a counter when you walk in, then seat yourself in two rooms of tables. You also serve yourself ice and beverages. But once you sit down, a very nice gentleman brings your food and replenishes your water.Highly recommend to anyone wanting a nice lunch at the Fort Worth Stockyards.
If you happen to visit this coffee shop, make sure to ask for their bestseller for the month. I'm sure that you'll not get disappointed with what you'll get.
Used to be a real Starbucks. For the second Sunday in a row I ordered a food item displayed in their counter only to be told later that "we don't have that it's just a display". We asked the staff why they don't remove display items that are out of stock and were told that management would allow that. Management in one fell swoop was able to irritate both the staff and a customer. Is the display of an item not in stock false advertising? So much for Starbucks transparency.
Joseph and his family have a wonderful family friendly restaurant.
Fun place for burgers, beer and music. I love the Fred's burger and fries and the enclosed patio with live band makes a great Saturday afternoon!!
I have given the Flying Cadrpet Cafe several chances now, and each time the service was atrocious. I can't imagine why this place is still operating. The GM and chef, Devon Doyle, is the worst. Just try complaining to her about the food. She will argue with you and treat you like some homeless person that should be greatful for getting a meal. Quite frankly, she is hateful and rude and will eventually run the customers away for good. I will defiantly be telling everyone I can about my multiple bad experiences with this restaurant. I'm not sure if I'm the first to come forward or not, but surely I won't be the last. I will not be going back and even had my other groupon vouchers refunded!
GREAT COFFEE! Wow lots of flavors and it is really good stuff, Decent menu and it is Vegan friendly. Wait staff is cool. Nice
