Their chicken livers are wonderful, the best in town. The service is fast for all their menu items. My husband does not like chicken livers. He had chicken tenders instead. They have the usual variety of soft drinks and tea. Their cold slaw is great with no pretensions to being anything else, just your basic stuff. We will go back!

I have been eating here since the 1950s. Angelo's was smaller then and still had sawdust on the floor. Now, Angelo's is bigger and the ambience not quite what it was in the earlier days. But, the sliced brisket sandwich cannot be beaten anywhere except, of course, by a sliced brisket sandwic…

I am very picky about my fried fish, and I found my love with this place. Their fried Tilapia is to die for the size verse's price is a bagain. The staff is extremely friendly and professional and I would suggest this place to anyone that desires good fried chick and fish.

Nice fast friendly service !
This was a bizarre experience! The counter girl's boyfriend came in while I was waiting for my food screamed at her and beat her up, ran off with her purse, she ran after him and left the cook as the sole employee working. I called the FW police and they never arrived before I left. Food was good, but the employees made this a place I will never return to.
Takes to long to get your food and it's not that good
I don't know where the people who left good reviews ate but I wasn't here! This was literally some of the worst food I've ever ordered. The chicken batter was spicy but the actual meat had no flavor, the catfish tasted like old fry oil. The red beans and rice was disgusting . Even the cheese cake tasted like everything in the refrigerator. We could only take a few bites of each thing. We had to throw the entire meal away. Seriously stay away. It was horrible!
Love, Love, Love this place. A friend told me about this place so I decide to give it a try. Popeyes has nothing on this place. Let just say I will go here again.
Lisa's Chicken on University and 7th Street is horrible!!! Take the time to go to the one on 28th Street. The difference is night and day! The chicken wad very dark and looked old, it tastes terrible, the Frys where dark brown, they gave us no bread at all. When I called they were very rude, told me i was lying, and said bring everything back or they won't do anything. I said we already had tried it and they said well then we won't do anything if you don't have it all Un touched. RUDE MEAN EMPLOYEES!!! I have never had any trouble at the other Lisa's locations in Northside so just avoid this one. Since I started this review I now am very nauseated and think I'm going to be sick so save your self the trouble. TRUST ME :)
Today was my first time to eat their food. I went through the drive through and they told me about a special of two pieces of fish, fries, a roll and a drink for $4.99. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! Very fresh and not greasy. I will be going back to try the chicken!
Wow! I ordered lemon pepper, garlic Parmesan, and Hawaiian; 10pcs each. And I was shocked the lemon pepper was greasy and too salty, garlic Parmesan doesn't have enough Parmesan, and the Hawaiian was dry af! Been waiting for so long and the staff was slow and taking they're time talking in the back. Ive never been so disappointed with wingstop like this before. I will never go back to this branch. Waste of money and time.
Service is really slow. The staff had the orders wrong on several customers .I ordered the lemon pepper chicken and they were so greasy along with the fires I will not go back !
