Am pretty sure they have been open for five years now. I have been a member since the second week they were open. Management is amazingly superior. There are so many pieces of equipment that you can get to the machine(s) you need even during the busy periods in January and February. They just completed a total replacement of approximately 75 pieces of cardio equipment (and that could be an underestimate of a few pieces). They just added stair steppers and rowing machines. If I remember correctly there are 52 treadmills, 26 elliptical trainers, 10 Arc trainers, etc. For as low as $10 per month for a membership, how can you go wrong?
I don't like giving such a bad rating but the management here needs to grow a conscience. I became deathly ill for nearly a year. I couldn't even manage my bank account. My wife had to go into the building to cancel my membership. The employee told her he didn't know how to cancel without me being present. A manager wasn't available to help so he hand wrote a cancellation intent form and asked my wife to have me sign it. He said drop it off to me and I will take care of the rest. He was nice. We didn't have a reason not to believe him. To be clear, we received verbal confirmation that my membership was cancelled. It never got done though. We were being billed until I received a collection notice a couple years later for almost $300. Really? Ok. Mistakes happen. Let's go make it right. I went in and explained to the manager and they wouldn't lift a finger. Kept referring to their terms and challenging me to provide evidence. At the same time, I am finally healthy enough to return to the gym. My father also has a membership there since before they even opened. They doubled the price on him recently. He wasn't happy about it. They don't care. They ripped off his son too. Ha! Guess they don't plan to keep Dad either. It's too bad. They could be making money off us for a long time. Their hearts are not in it though. I like the equipment and their employees are friendly. But management chooses to be dishonest and, unfortunately, will rip people off. They have a competence issue and will be glad to have you pay for it. So we just got a no contract prepay membership at Planet Fitness. I'd rather hear a lunk alarm than be ripped off. :/
