Our wedding was one of the very first ones held at this venue back in 2012. DON'T let the photos mislead you, as 99% of the photos shown on the website where NOT her ideas, Not her decorations as we did our own decorations 100% and she HAD Nothing to do with them. I agree with all the negative comments regarding being rude, very poor management and hidden cost. She never would give written estimate, never wrote anything down and never could recall prior conversations. Yes it was beautiful but NOT because of the owner Sharon. In fact her boyfriend said, Wow she should hire you as it looks beautiful. In fact, we sold the majority of our decorations to her after the fact and she had the nerve to contact us afterwards and said we owed a couple hundred dollars. I keep very good records and knew that I owed her nothing and she got nothing more. We have since asked her to remove our photos from her website as we didn't give her permission to use them, She has not yet removed and we are considering contacting our attorney over this matter. Run while you can!

I had a beautiful wedding at a beautiful venue. Unfortunately, the management (Sharon) was not so beautiful to work with. In fact, she was quite disrespectful to my family. She caused a lot of unnecessary stress. She nickeled and dimed the $%#* out of us. LOTS OF HIDDEN FEES BEWARE. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're rich and don't care about how you're treated. Plan on spending a lot of extra money. Like thousands extra. Beautiful venue, awful management. Choose wisely and good luck. (If I had to do it again, it wouldn't be there!)
Did not rent this place. I was going to until the early voting at the Dupont Library. The owner put a sign in the drive parking for hillary supporters only. No trump supporters. Ro me this is not a smart business move.
I have waited nearly a year to write my review, and my feelings have definitely NOT changed! The venue is perfect - charming, rustic, yet chic, LOVED everything about it. The owner, is a different story. When we booked the venue we were given a rental rate of $1200. Reasonable for the venue size - not the cheapest, but it is fairly large. Thinking this included tables, chairs, bridal suite AT LEAST. Come to find out NOTHING is included. She will nickel and dime you for EVERYTHING. For a venue this size, that does wedding all the time, there are not even basic tables and chair included. We had to even rent those. She takes a cut of the catering fee, and has a list of "approved vendors and will charge extra if you don't use them. The cost for decor was ridiculous even though all decorations we used belong to her and are on the property. She showed us many centerpiece options and then when we picked said she didn't have the materials so it would cost extra to order everything. She comes off as very money hungry. She constantly emailed my mom and I looking for money, even when it was not yet due and we had been on time on all other payments. I was happy with the end result - our reception was beautiful and we still get compliments. However, the cost of all of the "extras", and even basics, ended up putting us way over budget and she was not helpful in bringing HER outrageous costs down, even after I brought other bad reviews to her attention. Also, when confronted and told that all of these hidden fees should have been included in the contract, her response was that it would make it too long and she didn't want to have to spell it all out.Beautiful venue, and the owner truly does a good job in decorating. But her personality, business style, and lack of professionalism are enough to leave me steaming even now!

Run far away from this venue and warn others planning a wedding. I had a long paragraph listing my complaints from my wedding experience there, but it is too long for this site. In a nutshell here are my husband and I's complaints (see also Yellow Pages, Yelp, and review section on the facebook page): Hidden fees!!!, the business owner is greedy and was rude to our awesome caterer (Blue Stack Smokehouse, highly recommended!!), deducted money from our bridal suite deposit for having flower petals (she never told us they weren't allowed; who doesn't have flower petals at a wedding!?) and for not cleaning them up in the garden (it rained during the reception, got dark and there were no lights out there), she led two groups of people through the venue as a tour on the morning of the wedding when we had possession of the building, she threw away two items of ours that she had asked to borrow when I showed her one day to help her know our wedding colors. Pretty building, rude greedy woman.

Watch out for hidden fees! And the owner running my credit card without notice! They expect you to only use them for decorations. They were difficult to work with and didn't really seem to care about my vision.
The hall is very pretty, which is why we picked it. However, they have poor management. I was not treated very kindly & was even laughed at when I mentioned my budget. They expect you to rent their decorations or else they don't treat you the same. They do not write down the correct information regarding your event & was told numerous incorrect things days before, which turned into more fees. Very money oriented people. Hard to get a hold of when you have questions also. I would not recommend this place simply because of it being poorly ran. Otherwise, the hall is very nice & kept well.
