Overall the experience has been nothing short of spectacular! The quality of service provided is second-to-none. This company has truly been a blessing to my family from day one and to say I highly recommend them is an understatement.
The nurses and doctors were very nice. However, I went to the ER and had to wait 7 hours (2 in the waiting room, 5 more in a room with a bed) before getting treated, then they billed me almost $17,000 for what basically was an endoscopy (had food stuck in my esophagus below the airway) which the going rate is typically $700-$1700 according to another website. That bill doesn't even include the doctors bill $2300 -surgeon and $600 - attending. The surgeon billed separately for an endoscopy and a biopsy of the esophagus, 3/4 of the biopsy is the endoscopy anyway. I was in the surgery room for a total of 10 minutes. Wow that's about $120,000 per hour !
HORRIFYING BIRTH EXPERIENCE AT PARKVIEW!Since I chose Parkview as the hospital I wanted to have my daughter at, I met with the birth planner to have my birth experience planned out COMPLETELY. From little details up to who I wanted in the room during labor and delivery. My entire plan was completely overlooked. Within minutes of giving birth, SIX members of my partner's family just walked right into my delivery room. That included a 3 year old screaming child. They said that the people at the front desk of the birthing center gave them my room number, and a nurse escorted them to my room. His family knew they weren't supposed to go in there, but the hospital staff let them come in anyway, completely ruining my birth experience. My daughter had a lot of complications right at birth and was immediately admitted to the NICU, so that in itself was enough stress for me. But the fact that the hospital staff let a group of SIX uninvited people into my delivery room, without my permission, while my legs were still in stirrups and I was getting cleaned up... absolutely horrifying. I would NEVER recommend the Family Birthing Center at Parkview to anyone. I wouldn't want anyone to have the experience I had.
Parkview saved my dads life. He was dying at Lutheran and thankfully a doctor from parkview took him in under her wing. We will never be returning to Lutheran. Parkview has our loyalty and the expertise Lutheran does not.
I usually wouldn't write a review but I had a great experience at Health Now. On a busy morning a slammed my thumb in my car door, it was a bloody mess. Typically I would've passed out but Dr. Christman was wonderful at calming me down. The nurses there took great care of me and overall it exceeded my expectations. It was much better than your typical urgent care experience.Busy Mom
This place is much better than RediMed. I got in very quick and saw the doctor in a very quick amount of time. I was able to get a prescription for my throat and out the door in no time. Very clean and family friendly atmosphere.
I would never recommend this Parkview, they recently released me in the middle of the night 10pm sept 4 , 2012 handed me a voucher and sent me on my way home in a cab. I told them there was no one to receive me , no food at home and no diabetic insulin, and they did not offer me a cane which i needed. Dr. was rude discriminatory and will have to now go clear across town to another hospital because i do not trust them . What if it had been my 80-90 folks. I am 61 yo disabled hispanic lady.this is unacceptable. I also was so weak that I fell when I finally got in my apt.....NOT GOOD !!!!
