Cervical Cancer
Pap tests involve collecting cells from the cervix to determine if abnormalities are present which could lead to cervical cancer. For the HPV test, the cell sample is tested for the presence of high-risk types of HPV (human papilloma virus) which can lead to cervical cancer. For many women, this screening is no longer performed every year, but women should still schedule yearly exams. Your provider will discuss with you when you should schedule your next Pap smear.

Throughout every stage of life, routine annual exams are an important part of womenâ€™s health. Issues are addressed ranging from birth control options to symptoms of menopause. Screening for cervical, ovarian, uterine, breast and colon cancer is an important part of preventative medicine, as well as screening for sexually transmitted infections, osteoporosis and other medical issues.

Our physicians are trained in the latest surgical techniques which allow for smaller incisions and quicker recoveries. We provide a variety of surgeries, including Da Vinci robotic procedures, hysterectomies, fibroid or ovarian cyst removal and treatment of advanced endometriosis.
Robotic Surgery
We provide the most innovative surgical and non-surgical treatment options for urogynecologic conditions, including minimally invasive and adjustable sling procedures as well as robotic surgery for prolapse. In addition, we coordinate pelvic floor physical therapy for a variety of conditions including pelvic floor dysfunction.
Hysterectomy
The Acessa procedure is a minimally invasive procedure designed to treat uterine fibroids without damaging healthy tissue. This is a uterine-sparing technique and an alternative to a hysterectomy, and patients can return home the same day with little to no pain medication. Dr. Enrique Infante and Dr. Emelia Winston are the only doctor’s in Northeast Indiana who perform Acessa.

Women's Health Advantage offers many birth control options for patients, including: pills, copper and hormonal IUDs, Nuvaring (vaginal insert), Depo-Provera (injection), Nexplanon (insert in arm) and laparoscopy for permanent sterilization. Our providers will create an individualized plan to determine which option is best for you.
