I really wish I had read some reviews about this place before going in to their store. It took about 2 months to get my glasses ready. They had to remake my glasses about 3 times! At first I thought there was something wrong with their eye exam equipment, I felt I was seeing through plastic bottle, i went back for a reexamination and that didn't turned out right either, at the end I was still not satisfied with their service and product quality. My two years old glasses I got at Walmart are much better quality and not only that I see much sharper, and clearer than the new glasses I got at this place. I believe that place will eventually run out of business unless they make great improvements to their poor quality service. I don't recommend it to anyone.
Buyer beware! Know that the BOGO, is a farce to get your money. They say that they accept all insurances, but will not file it for you knowing that with most insurances the BOGO voids the insurance allotted. Instead they give you two invoices so you can file the claim and get denied and you are stuck with very poor workmanship (hand-dipped tint, very cheap frames) frames not fit to your face, etc., etc. Avoid at all cost
I went in to get glasses in august and was told I would have them in a week. When I went in to pick up 3 weeks later they were damaged and both lenses fell out. And here it is October 11th and still don't have.
The staff was very friendly and they were all very helpful. I enjoyed my experience with them and plan on taking my parents as well.
Just got some glasses for my wife today. Everything was just perfect. We saved hundreds of dollars compared to the place we had been going for years. Miranda took excellent care of us.
Horrible service!!!! They were suppose to called us when my boyfriends contacts came in but they never did. About a month and a half passed and every time I called they will make an excuse and they told us his contacts were going to be ready in a week or two which was a lie. Everytime I called they made excuses and I had to wait so long and explain myself more than 4 times!!! It's ridiculous!!!
I have never been anywhere where I was in, out, and SATISFIED!!! Don't waste money, time and frustration on the other guys. COME HERE AND PAULA MAKES SURE YOU ARE HAPPY. This is my first time here but they also give a year warranty so if necessary, I know I can come back and receive the same quality. Thanks Paula. You're a life saver!! :-)
I encourage anyone looking for cheap eye exams & glasses to look around before stepping foot in this place. When I booked my appointments, no questions were asked regarding what kind of exam I was interested in, no special instructions were provided on arriving early, etc. I did, upon better judgement arrive to my appointment 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. As soon as I stepped foot in the building, I smelled something awful (honestly like dirty carpet & rotten cheese). The carpets are disgusting, noticeably filthy, as were the upholstered seats you must use in the waiting room. The customer service rep working the counter was far from friendly or helpful. I was so turned off by the smell, that alone had me on the verge of leaving. It was hard to trust a business who takes such little care of their own office, or own personal grooming, with something as delicate as your eyes! Once taken back (after waiting long enough), my husband was told that he should have booked his eye appointment earlier (as the doctor was leaving in about 45 minutes) in order to get contacts, being a first time wearer. Again, this could have been avoided from GO had they appointment taker asked some questions. Why would you book an appointment if you can't complete it? We were told we would have to come back for him to be fitted. Then when asked if I (I've been wearing contacts for over 15 years) would get my contacts. I was answered with "If we have them in stock, yeah". Real promising huh? Needless to say, if the disgusting environment wasn't bad enough, or the old equipment, the lack of customer service forced me to leave without exam. Take Care!
I had an awful experience with this location today. I called yesterday after seeing their $59 special; while on the phone with the receptionist, I explicitly asked two times if there were any other charges that were or could be involved, to which she replied, "No. The only additional charge would be if you didn't like the frames in the $59 special, then you could do the buy one frame get one free special." She explicitly stated there was no other fee with the exam, it was in fact free and completely included in the price. I also asked her about dilation, so I would know if I would need to be driven there or not; she said I could choose dilation or not when I was there and I told her I would be having my eyes dilated. When I went in for my appointment today (Saturday), I was handed paperwork which stated that not only was dilation done only Mondays through Thursdays, but that there was a $25 fee for it. I approached the receptionist, and this is where things got bad. I told her (I don't remember her name; she was a young woman, Caucasian, obese, with long eyelashes) that I had specified yesterday when I made my appoint that I wanted dilation AND I was told TWICE there were no other fees involved. She told me that the doctor could squeeze me in before his/her lunch for dilation, but that there was a $25 fee. When I told her I didn't understand why I was told there wasn't any other fees, she became extreme short with me and had an obvious attitude. She never once apologized for the inconvenience, just repeated, "Yea, there's a fee." I began to protest and she cut me off, then asked me who I talked to on the phone; when I told her I didn't know she made a face at me and again just repeated, "Well, there's a fee." I was obviously disconcerted by this, but again, she refused to apologize or show an inkling of any acknowledgement that she works in customer service, got even more of an attitude with me, sighed audibly I guess to communicate she was annoyed and then proceeded to tell me that if I didn't have the money today, I could just come back when I did. Needless to say, after that line, I left the paperwork and told her I'd never go back. I have the money, and I'd rather take it elsewhere. If you can't even bring yourself to apologize for the inconvenience of me being wrongly informed, you don't deserve anyone's business. Not for nothing, but telling people one price to get them in the door and then springing something on them once they get there screams SCAM all over the place. I understand that sometimes mistakes are made - maybe the girl I talked to was new or overwhelmed or something - but to then not even attempt to rectify the situation with mere kindness is BEYOND unacceptable. Please, Fort Wayne, take your business elsewhere.
Wow.... You don't see this kind of service much anymore. I stopped in without an appointment and within minutes walked out with a repaired set of glasses and they saved me hundreds of dollars. Keep up the great work!
