I was referred to Freida when I had to find a new stylist unexpectedly. Freida is friendly and professional, but I was unimpressed by the haircut and color/highlights I received. The highlights I received were OK, but I've had better. I also have a small amount of grey (mostly at one temple) and told her it would be great if she could cover up a lot of it, which she did not do. It would have only taken her an extra minute to do this... I mentioned to her at least 3 times before she cut my hair that I did not want to lose my longer pieces in the front. Well, I found those pieces in my lap with her first few cuts. I'm looking at about 8 months now to grow them back. She rushed through my shampoo and conditioning. My hair felt dry and brittle afterwards, where I'm used to my hair feeling amazing for weeks after I get it colored. She told me she would call me the following week to see if I had anything I wanted fixed or tweaked, but I never heard from her. I suspect that the majority of the problems were the salon might have booked her too busy, but that doesn't excuse the lack of following up with me nor the generally poor quality. I feel if you put me in your chair and I'm expected to pay full prices, I deserve quality results. I found the pricing quite expensive for such a rushed and unsatisfying experience.
I entered the salon on a whim. They were fairly busy but sat me immediately and had a "helper" sand down and cut my nails. Then a male technician came over to do the rest. I asked for a full set of gel nails. He had two of the girls working with him observe him as he worked and he explained what he was doing to them as he went along so I assumed this man knew what he was doing since he was teaching. He did an OK job however I noticed a few of my nails were crooked and pointed this out to him. He then explained that he followed the natural path of my nails. I understand what he's saying, but I'm paying you $35 + a tip to put on FAKE nails. If I wanted imperfections I would have just painted my own. He did listen when I asked him to fix the problem. It was very frustrating. I tipped him anyway but I won't be going back. If he was the teacher I would hate to see the work of the other employees.
I went here for the first time on a saturday afternoon without an appointment (i suggest making an appointment). Overall i loved it here. my nails are very nice and for a decent price. It took a little longer than i thought it would but again i did not have an appointment. The owner and his wife have had the business for 14 years, they asked my name and took time to get to know me, both of them seem like genuinely good people. Van, the nice man (owner) redid a nail i bumped without hesitation and assured me it was fine (i am such a klutz). He was incredibly nice. I asked for a special design something crazy i found online and he did it with an awesome airbursh thing- high tech stuff. Thank You Van and Wonderful Wife, i will be seeing you both soon.
Their service is actually very well. They are fine and do good at their jobs. They all have manicure license so I believe they know what their doing. I've been there multiple times and they are fabulous. I have never seen not even one roach nor bug. You @makenna24 are being totally dishonest. They ask you specifics and ask you if you like what they do. As long as you TELL them. Be specific. They are very friendly and try to make conversation. I recommend them. As long as your not Rude they try their best to give you what you want. Tell them, be specific and tell them without being rude what you want and you'll like them. Also they do not rush, if anything you're rushing them because they care about their job to make them perfect.
I went here because it my regular nail salon isn't open on sundays. I received a mani and pedi. Even though the staff was very friendly I did feel a bit rushed while receiving my pedicure. When you sit in the pedicure chair there is a list of all the different pedicure options and what is included. I asked for the regular pedicure which includes a complimentary drink which I didn't get nor did they offer me. They also did not use a razor on my feet to take the dead cells off. They kept asking me if I wanted "fake nail" even when I kept telling them "no, just a manicure." I know the difference between a regular manicure and acrylic nails.
I had a great time at the salon today. It's very cozy and nice looking place, with a very relaxing peaceful atmosphere. Jessica is a very professional and creative stylist, she spent almost 2 hours consulting me and styling my hair, answering all my questions. I would definetely recomment the place to anyone and will come back myself. fort WAyne has many largew salons, and this one is different because it's small but you get a luxurous feeling of one-on-one care, just what I was looking for.
I absolutely love this salon. They are very patient and take their time. I've been to many of the shops around and their work just isn't like World Nail. Usually a nail falls off at a different salon but at this one I haven't had a problem yet. I only go to a specific person and he's the best. I'm not sure of his name but he has the tattoo on his right forearm and left arm. He's very talkative as well, I didn't have anyone at other shops really talk to me. World Nail Is Forever My Salon.
I came to D.T. nails for my first french tip acrylic nails. As soon as i entered the building, there was a very kind, welcoming atmosphere. While many regulars past, they knew them by name. My nail tech walked me through the acrylic process, and did an amazing job. While she buffed a little hard, i do think she did quite an exceptional job. She even gave my young brother chocolate when he was getting restless. What an amazing first experience!
I will definitely be a regular here! Owner/nail techs are great! Very friendly and make you feel like you are family. They each have their areas that they excel and with that they work as a well oiled machine to make everyone feel like they are the most important person in the salon! The nails last and look perfect with minimal filing! And the designs they do on your nails are absolute perfection!
I have been going to TT Nails since they opened years ago. Johnny, Tina and employees are great and they all do such a great job. Their place is very clean and you don't have to be concerned about the pedicure basins, tools, etc. Everything is well disinfected after each use. They have a large assortment of nail colors! Love going there for my nails! Would not go anywhere else.
