My server was the best thing about the place. The hostess did NOT even say hello when my wife and I arrived to her podium! She just stood there looking at us with a, "What do you want?" gaze. Upon recieving our meal, we were both disappointed. My medium ribeye was closer to being well done, and my wife's babyback ribs were bland AND tough! Not to mention the sides are a' la carte in this pricey joint. Very disappointed. 😠

Menu was very unique and quite extensive. Atmosphere is great!
Half my New York strip was fat, very disappointed.
Pretty cool place. Food was great. Nice setup
I called them and suggested something to them that a promotion I was running but I was a big customer of theirs and they get rude with me
Have been going there since I was a kid. Service and food has always been great. Before leaving I would order 12 more coney's to go
It’s ironic. Applebee's calls itself a “Friendly Neighborhood place," yet NONE of them are EVER near any residential neighborhood, and neither customers or staff are ever genuinely friendly. Service is as you’d expect in such an oppressive corporate environment. Don’t blame the staff. Management enforces an edict to treat employees like replaceable robots. As in any soulless sports bar, they have many TV's to annoy those with a functional IQ over 90. Fans can always see the meaningless distraction of sports. That gives them something to talk about. You’ll never hear a conversation about science, classic literature or any form of music without lyrics. The constant barrage of repetitive MUZAK and TV prevents patrons from any form of introspection, thereby making it easier to ignore their hopeless lives. The food is what you expect from profiteering corporations; salty, sugary, fatty and loaded with chemicals, ideal for developing heart disease and cancer. If you’re a doctor or own stock in healthcare, be glad Applebee’s is creating a solid future with thousands of new victims. Every franchise has the same “drink features” which are just the latest artificial fad in corn-sweetened alcoholic concoctions, designed to keep women in the joint because that keeps men opening their wallets. Like other corporate clones, they disguise their price gouging with “specials” then make the drinks as expensive as an airport bar. If you’ve visited lately, you’ve seen how they serve smaller portions of their bulk-priced cattle feed, thereby maintaining profit margins while making it appear you’re getting a bargain. If you find third grade math difficult, they offer tip suggestions on every bill. Applebee’s is a perfect place to witness the fall of America through blatant corporate manipulation of a dumbed-down populace. It is a paradigm for the decline of culture. It’s oddly interesting as a tragedy, like Les Miserables, but with worse food.
Twas a happy accident which landed us at the Athenian Family Restaurant. True it took us a few moments to be seated but their lack of open tables speaks only to the fact that it is a popular place to eat. The food was impeccable and the service matched. The coffee was the best I've had outside of a coffee shop. I guess my only regret is that I don't live in Fort Wayne so it will be a long time until I am able to find myself here again.
The food was average for this chain, I couldn't get exactly what I wanted because they ran out or so I was told, but then I saw lot of other guest getting biscuits throughout our stay.
Was visiting from out of town and thought we'd try someplace new. Place wasn't busy or packed. Service was extremely slow, our order got delivered to the wrong table, our food was remade and finally delivered. Our waitress never came back to check on our drinks. Had one refill by the manager at the end of my meal. Floors were littered with broken tortilla chips and no one seemed to notice or sweep them up. Only positive is they gave us 50% off the bill. Needless to say, no tip.
