I am terribly disappointed. The owner, Monty, was communicative at first & seemed friendly & helpful. However, he ended up being unreliable & putting my two-month-old baby’s medical care in jeopardy. My baby is getting special orthopedic medical shoes and needed a small piece of sheepskin sewn to the tongue. Monty had the medical shoes all week & said he would call me on Thurs morning, when they were done. I didn’t hear back from him and left two messages Thurs, starting to worry because my baby needed the shoes for her orthopedic appointment. Monty left me a message late Fri morning saying he didn't do the job because his sewing guy had a knee injury. I called right back but he didn’t answer, so I left a message saying I needed them back ASAP. I also sent a text and an email. At this point, I was panicking because Heel 2 Toe has no storefront, & now this guy not only had my baby’s medical shoes, but he also hadn’t made the repair, so I had to find someone else to do it last-minute.
My items were supposed to be done mid Feb...it's early Apr and still not done. Now voicemail says store is closed for 3 weeks? Feeling ripped off.
AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!I stopped by on Jan 30th to ask if they could replace the zipper in a leather jacket that had broken. They said yes but it would take a couple of weeks to get done. At that point I wasn't in a hurry, so I left the jacket with them. On Feb 13th I stopped by to pick up my jacket and the woman behind the counter said that it wasn't ready and would take another week to get done. I was out of town the next week so I asked my girlfriend to pick it up for me. When she got there on Feb 21st the same woman that I dropped the jacket off with and spoken to on Feb 13th told her that it would be yet another week. So when I returned I stopped in on the Feb 27th and you guessed it once again she told me that it wasn't ready and that she would make sure that it was ready the following Tues (Mar 3rd). After not hearing from them on the day she promised it would be ready I called them on Wed Mar 4th and the very same woman that I had always spoken to informed me that they were unable to get a replacement zipper and that I needed to come pick up my jacket. As a result of their lying to me for over a month I am now leaving for a week long motorcycle trip WITHOUT a zipper in one of the sleeves in my leather jacket.
I took a pair of Johnston and Murphy dress shoes in to get re soled. I had them maybe three years. The uppers were conforming to my foot nicely. After getting the shoes back, I notice after a week a share pain and it was nails sticking me in the heel. So, I took them back. They were nice enough to turn it around in 24 hours at no charge. About month later I'm traveling and the entire heel falls of the shoe as I'm walking. Taking them in a third time (my wife is calling me names) they tell me it will be a week but still no charge. Now about two weeks later the heel fell off. I believe it's the other shoe which I assumed they would have fixed. Needless to say I got the, "I told you so," from the wife, and this outfit won't have a 4th opportunity. Take your shoes to Pensacola and have them done right.
