Stopped in Ft. Walton with the fam on the way to Disney. My sister, husband and I decided to get a tattoo. We found Tattoos Forever and liked the local reviews. The store was very clean and smelled nice (unusual for a lot of tattoo shops). Jordan at the front was fun and professional. Bus did my sisters tat and Curt did mine and my husbands. They did a great job! I personally can't say enough about Curt. Great artist. Go see them. You will not be disappointed.
I got my nipples pierced at Island Ink Tattoo on August 1st of 2016, and Sheila was absolutely wonderful! She was super informative and made me feel comfortable and calm. HOWEVER, the barbells I was pierced with have been a total pain for these past 10 months, both physically and mentally. I was told that they were surgical grade & I should keep them in for at least 6 months to allow time for proper healing. I had to change them in January at the 5 month mark because they weren't healing at all. The problem is, I could barely even change one because the barbells and balls were RUSTED. I followed all instructions that were given, and even bought the exact recommended soap to clean the piercings with every night. I (fortunately) was able to change the left one back in January, and it healed beautifully within a week after changing it. But it is currently June 10th and I JUST NOW got the right piercing to come unscrewed. Both balls were literally rusted into place. I tried using latex gloves for better grip, I tried using pliers to get them unscrewed. I finally decided to just go for it and slather the piercing in Vaseline because I figured it couldn't get much worse since my nipple was already infected and looked horrible. One ball finally came unscrewed and I was thankfully able to clean the area and replace it with a better barbell. I'm not one to leave bad reviews, but piercing people with barbells that will RUST is no joke. I would not recommend getting pierced at this shop. Although, if I could rate an employee, then Sheila gets a 10 out of 10 because she was incredible!
Used to refer everyone I know to island ink. Not after my recent visit...I was going to get a large tattoo and had no problem paying what was qouted..I was helped...or not helped by a guy I've never seen before named gordo...or goldo...something like that..anyway I've never been talked to like that and was told my idea was stupid and he wouldn't tattoo it...after that I was done...sorry island ink..you've lost my business and being that my husband is airforce I'll be letting everyone I know on base to skip island ink until they get in more professional artists.
Will did a beautiful coverup on a hideous tattoo I had for many years. He has a talent and it shows. His work is detailed and very creative. I am so glad I chose this shop because they were all friendly and Will leaves me with no doubt that he knows exactly what he's doing and does it well.
