This place doesn’t SELL CARS. They lease them so they can repo them if you are one day late with your payment. There isn’t one car on the lot that has a 299.00 down payment. It cost us over 1500.00 and then our tags were only good for a month. They charged us 600.00 for tags. This place prays on people who don’t have excellent credit and need a break. Save your money and buy off craigslist. The car we spent 13,000.00 from them blue books at 4500.00. Complete rip-off.
Just wanted to leave a review in response to some of the bad ones. I know everyone has good and bad experiences but I bought my car a few days ago, on my way home the car started acting funny, I called the dealership the next day, they came and towed it, fixed the alternator and brakes and didn't charge me a dime. These people are honest and if you call or go to the office with a genuine concern and a good attitude they will help you. I didn't have a warranty and I'm on such a fixed budget I was so woried about the repairs as a single mom I just don't have extra money. Overall a real good experience from the sales man and manager.
I am the first person to read reviews about a business before I do business with them, I read mixed reviews about Sonshine Motors some good, some bad, some horrible. most of the bad ones seemed to come from people who obviously didn't pay their bills on time. Since I couldn't get financed anywhere else due to my bad credit I came to them, I just want to say thank you for the awesome service, and helping me find a vehicle with payments that I can afford. my car is still running great 4 months after ive had it with no issues. thanks again guys
I have been a customer with Son Shine Motors since September of 2013. I put a $1200 down payment and they were great people there and treated us very nicely. In December I paid my payment in advanced all the way until February. Then in February I paid until April. I then called April 1st 2014 and made sure I did not have a payment for March. The lady I spoke to clearly told me I did not have a payment for March and I was paid up until April 5th 2014 Which is a Saturday. Monday April 7th, the repossessed my truck. I called and asked why and they told me I was 2 months past due. I told them that I called and all and they said there was nothing they could do. I have been a loyal cuatomer and even referred a paying customer to them who bought a vehicle from them. She said I was still technically past due by 1 business day and I was a big girl and should know when my payment is due. I absolutely agree, but when I call to double check like an adult and an employee there specifically tells me I do not have a payment i feel like they are at fault.
I have to say I know these people and I used to like them. I called today to ask for a price on a vehicle and she told me 1500 down. Now, they tell you the ask 10% down so that would make it a 15000 car. She said its only 12000. Well I look up the blue book value and its actually only worth 6000 on any car lot. That means they bought it at an auction for maybe 2000 and is selling it for 12000 AND adding their finance charges and interest whicj would bring this 6000 dollar car to around $15, 000 after you paid it off and that is hoping it is still running by then. I'm a little disappointed guys. I thought you guys were a little more fair than that. Youre taking advantage of people who don't know any better and are most likely in a bad situation already. You know who I am. And after our conversation today, you know I caught you in some lies about how much you pay for your vehicles. There should be regulations for people like u that take advantage of people like that! Good luck and sorry for the horrible review, but I don't like to see people taken advantage of.
I believe in honest feedback and review. I bought a vehicle from Sonshine Motors (a Jetta) about a month ago. Firstly, customer service is very good because they are trying to get you into a reliable car with reliable payments without credit. Secondly, the cars are average to very good. We fell in love with our car the moment they let us test drive it. However, what made me give them this perfect review is the honesty. Our vehicle had a slight mechanical failure on the transmission, that was actually a factory defect according to the shop, but was simply past it's warranty. Russ was a gentleman by covering for the repair costs, even though what you buy is "as is", just because we had just bought the car. This does not mean that their vehicles are bad because they have great vehicles, but is not their fault if one or two have faults because they are used vehicles and it can happen anywhere. I would recommend this business to others. If you have less than perfect credit and need a reliable car from people who keep their word, go see for yourself. Also, they constanlty updated their inventory so if you don't see something you like, come back another day.
I brought a car from a dealership called son shine motors and they sold me two bad cars that did not work I took the car down there at about 330 pm on Tuesday 3/19/2013 this was the second car they gave me the first car keep on cutting off. Kenny the owner said he a pastor and that he will do what's right and change the old one out. I have only had the second car for two weeks I had to take it to them twice. Me and my two kids got down there and they daughter of the owner said we will fix the car today which is 3/19/2013 I said can I get a loaner while you guys fix it I have to go to work tomorrow she then begins to say you should have not come find a way to get home they bring all of my stuff out of the car and tell me I need to find a way home with no money and two kids and no food they called the police and the police told me if I don't clam down he will call DCS because I was speaking my mind I had sezuier and hit my head on the ground because my blood pressure went up. They kept on saying we offer to tow it and then how was I going to get my car back. I live 50 miles away I live in Pensacola the dealer is in fort Walton, FL. they left the dealership while I was lying on the ground after I had my sezuier and did not give me my money back or my car back the sheriff was called and they came out and paid for me a cab so me and my kids can get home they left us out there in the cold they would not even let my son use the restroom they told my kids to get out it cost the sheriff department over a 100 dollars to get us home if it was not for them me and my kids would be still out there I plan on suing them as well because they have my money and my car they really need to be shut down they guy that fix there cars work out of his house and I took my car over there on 3/15/2013 they were suppose to fix the car then it was not fix the first time I am upset and they need to be exposed.
My Mother is an RN. She saves lives and uncondtionally puts herself below those that would crap on her daily at the hospital. Last week her car blew up. She had just paid off her house with savings so was a little short on cash for a month. She showed up at your dealership yesterday with $650 in cash to purchase a car, a car she would of paid off in 2 months. You guys pushed her away simply cos she didn't have $800 down payment. So for a $150 you denied helping her out, you pushed her away. That is very Jesus like is it not? You guys are pathetic calling yourself Sonshine Motors with the images of Christ on the cross for you logo. You should be ashamed you turned away someone in need, someone that actually helps people in our area, over $150 dollars in cash. Pathetic, truely pathetic and I hope when your time comes, Jesus will stand over you in judgement and remember how you use his image to sell cars, but failed to help a couple people truely in need.
I would recomend this dealership to anyone with bad credit looking for a vehicle i got into a 05 saturn for only 800 down they didnt check my credit and gave me pretty fair payments. overall its a decent dealership, atleast in fort walton. ive been to a couple of dealerships in the area and this was the one with the cheapes down payment
