Animal Welfare League in Fort Smith, AR

By far the worst place I've ever been. The smell was horrible. The smaller dogs are kept in cubes like cats would be kept. The bedding was covered in fecal matter. Some of the dogs had fecal matter all over them. The larger dog kennel area was just as bad. Ever kennel had runny dog droppings. If the dogs were being fed a proper diet they wouldn't have such bad diarrhea. The staff that sit behind the counter are unfriendly and do nothing when it comes to the animals. Total disappointment.

The worst experience ever cannot over state that lets see first off we stood there waiting on someone for about 45 min or so before we even knew there were dogs in the back then we pick a dog out you would think they would want to find the dogs a home, NOPE cause then we sat there another hour and 20 min waiting on one women working while everybody else looks as if there doing nothing so after all that she says o well you have to take the other dog along with that one seriously is what I'm thinking to myself so now I have two dogs instead of one didn't want two at all but was willing to negotiate with the terrorists lol for the dogs sake o but then not good enough still now it's about 10 min before they close after I've been there for hour 2 hrs in the nasty stinkiest place I've ever been they said how tall is my fence at home as there looking at the clock I told them it was a 6 ft privacy fence o well that's not good enough they have to be house dogs is what they said so they could get me out of there so they could close when they wanted I suppose I do believe they put them dogs down after 2 many 3 weeks I came in was willing to care for 2 of the dogs there but instead they make it impossible for me completely and totally appalled by there actions can't believe they would rather put the animals down than let me take them!

I haven't been there in a good ficteen years. But fro. What i can recall it was a good place then and probably better now.

They care about you and are attentive to your individual needs this establishment is truly a blessing thank you Jesus!

They have alot of good friendly anilmals.

Thankful and very appreciative for the staff and counselors. They have helped me in so many ways that even years after I have left the area I still consider my counselor one of my biggest and most positive influences
