I was hired on the spot with wonderful references. I witnessed the dismissal of two employees in the first and only two days I was trained. One employee was fired for 'rolling her eyes'. I was told that I had to take an extensive menu test in order to serve. I was ready on the third day to take the test. (Which included every item on the menu and the memorization of all ingredients in every dish).I tried to take the test four times. The manager with the tests was not there the first three times. Finally on my fourth attempt he was there, but informed me that the other manager had told him that I was fired for dressing with my bra straps showing. The only time that I met the other manager was when I came in the second time and she called the manager with the tests. I was wearing a brown dress with sleeves and a cardigan over that. There was no way that I had any bra straps showing. When I said that there must be a mistake he told me that he would speak with the owner and tell the owner that I had been a good worker and that he also thought that there must be a mistake. Tim informed me that he would call me when he had talked with "D.C."I waited all day for a return call and finally called at 10:50. Tim answered and told me that he was just about to talk to D.C. and that he would call me from his car. I waited forty minutes and called Tim on his cell.He apologized for forgetting to call me and informed me that D.C. had said that they were overstaffed anyway and for me to 'not worry about the job'.I spent a week and a half under the assumption that I was employed. I spent hours studying for a test that I never was able to take. I was fired for nothing, and they admitted it was for nothing. This is bad business.I was fired and witnessed the termination of two other employees in my short time there.
