Founded in 2011 by jazz bassist and composer Ku Il Oh, the mission of the Ku Il Oh Music School is to provide superior musical training to students of all ages residing in northern New Jersey. The approach utilized at the Ku Il Oh Music School is highly customized to each student's needs and goals. We strive to provide a broad musical education by incorporating all musical styles including classical, jazz, pop, rock, blues, and worship music.
The school is located just outside of New York City in order to have access to world-class music instructors. The teachers at the Ku Il Oh Music School have studied at the top universities and conservatories including Manhattan School of Music, New York University, University of the Arts, William Paterson University, and Stony Brook University. We currently employ specialists in the following instrument families: piano, guitar (electric/acoutic), drums, strings (violin/cello), brass (trumpet/trombone/euphonium/baritone/tuba), woodwinds (saxophone/clarinet/flute/oboe), and percussion. If interested in studying voice or an instrument not listed please do not hesitate to call! We provide lessons to beginner, intermediate, and advanced students.
We serve students from areas including Fort Lee, Edgewater, Englewood, Fairview, Guttenberg, Leonia, North Bergen County, Palisades Park, Ridgefield, Teaneck, West New York, Weehaken, Cliffside Park, Bogata, Little Ferry, Englewood Cliffs, Bergenfield, Leonia, Hackensack, Bogota, Tenafly, Cresskill, Alpine, Dumont, New Milford, Ridgefield Park, River Edge, Dumont, Demarest, Haworth, Closter, Maywood, Paterson, Clifton, Wayne, and Rochelle Park.
Located in Fort Lee, New Jersey, our school provides individual and group music lessons on piano, guitar, drums, woodwinds, brass, strings, and percussion to students of all ages. In addition to private lessons we also offer various ensembles, workshops, master classes, and early childhood programs.
