worst experience ever, me and my families went for lunch after we paid over $100 for our meals then they started to looking at us like we were different, once we started to eat then next thing they started to play a song by Delbert McClington Monkey aroung. I asked the lady for a refill she look at me like I was disgusting. I will never go back on that place ever again, other people inside were looking at us like they felt sorry for us or something. Most Racist Place in the world. My kids were asking me stupid question after they saw such thing.
From Business: We are a fine dining restaurant featuring Italian cuisine with a modern twist. We source the very best products available, local whenever possible. Excellent wine…

On Valentine's Day 2018 I flew back to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which was my home for 59 years before I moved to New Jersey. The occasion was a solemn one, the passing of my dear childhood friend's wonderful wife. Add to that the fact that the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School (eight miles from Fort Lauderdale) occurred just five hours after my plane landed, and needless to say, I was disconsolate, even though I was in the company of loved ones (also formerly of Fort Lauderdale) who have been my dear friends for almost half a century, who had come in from Georgia and Virginia for the funeral, and whom I no longer get to see nearly often enough. We decided to go out for dinner and settled on Pelican Landing. A bad restaurant experience would have only exacerbated our depression, but I am grateful to be able to truthfully report that the food, service, and ambience were all absolutely superb! I am vegan, and when I asked our server (Raphael G.) if anything on the menu was or could be prepared as vegan, he was honest and said that he wasn't sure but that he would ask the chef, who in turn graciously prepared for me a vegan feast which was truly delectable, even going so far as to include a specific dressing that he assured me is vegan! Such honesty and accommodation in servers and chefs is so extremely important to those of us who are vegan for ethical reasons and are thus careful to never cheat on our diets. People of less integrity would have simply told me what I wanted to hear. Our experience at Pelican Landing was so pleasant, in fact, that it enabled us to forget, if only for a while, the sad circumstances under which we had reunited, and we managed to have a good time in spite of them. (The only reason I gave Pelican Landing four stars instead of five is that nothing is actually cited on the menu as being vegan.)
Best dinner in Ft Lauderdale. Delicous for all meals. Big servings. Good price. Old school great service. Only good place for a real breakfast.
I’ve been here often. Love the vibe and great live music. Also really enjoy the block party they are doing on sundays! Just saw two really good bands there this past Sunday, a Clapton tribute band and a Heart Tribute - both bands were really excellent and it was great to see 2 groups that night... they even had another band later inside the bar. We really appreciate the quality live music Fishtales brings. Food is good, place is clean. Thumbs up!!
It's a good place to hang out if you don't have high expectations. Ordered an omelet and it was OK. servers were friendly but service has great opportunities for growth.Interior decorated with IKEA style furniture :-)But the restrooms were the nicest and cleanest restrooms I've been. Whoever did the design and decoration for them should be assign to redo the whole coffee shop.Would come back, but just for the coffee.
LOVE IT! Best in Fort Lauderdale! Beautful setting on the intracoastal. Friendly staff and pretty easy to get in without reservations.
Family owned business, personalized attention from Mrs. Gilbert herself. Very clean... They have the most delicious hamburgers...check out the menu. I travel here from Miami, just to eat here. Excellent place!
My husband threw up so bad a couple of hours after having lunch. The meat has a foul smell and mashed potato is cold.
This is a gem of a restaurant. We ate alfresco and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. My entree was beautifully prepared. The chef took time to stop by our table. Waitresses were so nice. Very good experience. I recommend trying the Village Cafe.
I have always enjoyed dining at J Marks. They have a fairly diverse menu; Pasta dishes, Asian inspired entrees, steaks and salads. It's clean. The decor is contemporary and the clientele seems to be down to Earth and enjoying the experience.
