They treated me like crap. I only went because my co worker goes there. I order contacts from 1 800 contacts. I only wanted a contact lens exam. I filled out the paperwork and went through an initial exam and then an exam with the doctor. Dr. Enker asked questions, but actually "shushed" me when I attempted to respond. I had a contact lens exam coupon for $99.00. Sandra (I think that was her name), said that the coupon did not apply, because of my vision. She pointed to the coupon and said "see, it says upgrades do not apply". If they said stronger prescriptions have an additional charge, I would understand. I've never heard of stronger prescriptions referred to as an "upgrade". I was willing to pay the $148.00 exam fee in cash using my HSA account. I feel that Dr. Enker's office only wanted me to use my eye benefits, and she pressured me as to why didn't I want to get contact lenses there. (These are MY benefits, WTH!!!???!!! As a consumer, I can go where I want to. I have a better price at 1 800 contacts; and wanted to use my benefit there. I told her that I would pay the higher price; however, I was not satisfied and I would never return. She replied that they only work with "satisfied customers". She then asked me to walk to the contact lens station because Dr. Enker wanted to "speak" to me. I asked what for. She asked me to remove the contact lenses and replace them with the ones I came in with. I said "WHAT?!?!!!!!" Sandra the chick said "We only work with satisfied customers, so we will not charge you, but we are not giving you an exam and need our contact lenses back. I was flabbergasted, and said WOW!? Seriously!!! I received a receipt; however, would not return everything that I signed. The lady said that she would cancel the insurance claim that they already applied for without my permission. I handed my co-worker her purse and was escorted from the premises like a thief. All of this for not wanting to buy contact lenses from them,. I didn't yell. My co-worker almost got left, because I was ready to go home, but I drove and let her finish her transaction. When I told her what they did, she said she would've cancelled her prescription. But, she was happy with them. I was not. They wanted me only for my pocketbook, and not my service. Their attitude confirms that the low prices that they quote my not actually be the lowest. Dr Enker/World Eyeglasses reviews on Google are great because if you are not happy, they will not serve you. I am 53 years old, worn glasses since I was 7 years old and I've never had anyone ask me for the contact lenses back. Or to refuse to serve me. To be fair, they didn't charge me. But it was because I was unsatisfied. They wasted 2 hours of my time, which is money to me, since I left work 2 hours early. Now I will find a fair and honest optician. If you have no problem being railroaded, this is the eye doctor for you. If you are an informed consumer and want options. Don't go there. I wish I could give them zero stars. You get what you pay for!
Rude and nasty. Tried to pull a bait and switch on me and my family. Dr. Enker running an unethical practice. His employees were not nice at all. Upon leaving I demanding my intake paperwork be given back to me, reluctantly the receptionist gave me back the intake forms and accidentally included her "script for dismissing patients." It was a script for them to read to patients when they questioned prices or services. "We feel it would be better if you were to go see a different eye care provider. We would like to ask you to leave at this time."
Dr was 45 minutes late. Not respectful of patient's time. Nice facility however my time is valuable
I have been going to World Eyeglasses for several years and I am never disappointed with their services. Their eyecare services, selection of products and prices are better than the other places like vision works, lenscrafters, foreyes etc. and Dr. Enker is the best with his clientele and I don't have to usually wait for an appointment.

I am so happy with the level of service received from the staff at World Eyeglasses. The level of professionalism, time spent on finding the perfect frames, and superior customer service has made me a fan.
really cool eye exam equiptment never had an exam so easy loved the cool frames and they were not expensive got 2 pair for what i paid for 1 at the last place and they gave me a 2 years warranty on everything.
I needed an eye exam and found dr. gary enker right near my job in Oakland park. There was also an offer of discount eyeglasses so I made an appt and the wait was not bad at all, maybe 10 to 15 mintues. The staff was great, they were on time and efficient. I gotta contact lens exam too. Them was able to look at their eyeglass shop and pick out a great pair of prescription glasses, an eyeglass frame for sunglasses and get new contact lenses at a great price!
