Best restaurant we visited on our trip to Fort Lauderdale.
We had a big group of 9. We actually got a reservation calling the day of for a Saturday Night.
Place is very old school. Actually love the atmosphere.
Food was excellent all the way around.
I had the Cowboy steak (18 ounce bone in ribeye). The rest of table had surf & turf, 25 oz porterhouse, Filets, and broiled scallops......
The cowboy steak is excellent. The portions are large but not overbearing. Prices are also very reasonable.
We had excellent service as well. Cheep was our server. He was unforgettable!! Loved it
We had a Groupon and so happy that we did so we could try this wonderful restaurant. My prime rib melted in my mouth. My boyfriends porterhouse steak was delicious. The onion soup was awesome with cheese on the bottom and top. The meal came with a nice salad and one side dish. Also since it was early bird, dessert and coffee. The service was awesome. We will definitely be back. Our new favorite restaurant!
I have been going to tropical acres steakhouse for many years. Great porter house steak, fish lobster, every thing comes out fresh with good service. . They treat you like a guest should be serviced. Jack and the crew are excellent. I definitely recommend it if you want to go for a very nice dinner and the price is right. One more thing my wife had the prime rib roast beef absolutely delicious
been meaning to go forever and I finally made it. The place is definitely dated..in both decor and menu. But what they do they do right. King prime rib served daringly rare. I have no idea how they cook it evenly red from center to edge even managing to cook some of the fat. The waitress was amazing knew every steak there and how to cook it. I guess after 27 years the training finally kicked in.
We started at the bar and were served by Tommy, one of the best servers we've ever encountered . He is a true professional. The appetizers and drinks were excellent. Dinner in the dining room was also delicious and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed listening to the piano player during dinner. The service was friendly and efficient. We had a great experience.
I have been dining at Tropical Acres for over 25 years and have never had a bad experience. It is a wonderful family owned restaurant that not only cares for it's customers but also it's dedicated staff. If you want to have a great night out with excellent food stop by and enjoy the event.
They now have a Happy Hour with excellent pricing and wonderful, fresh made appetizers that you can make a meal of.
I have watched the generations of family grow and prosper. This is what makes this restaurant different from many others. Go and experience it for yourself.
