I highly suggest anyone considering eating here to look around at your other local options before you drops some big bills on an over-rated, over priced, high carbs, sugar loaded, small portioned meal. **The service is terrible!** My passed waitress/waiters look rude/fake & acted the part. The owner walks around to every table only to repeat the same line over & over again: ""CHOLESTEROL FREE!"". Seriously? Does it matter when you're stuffing lies, refined wheat, wheat gluten, over cooked veggies, & sugar down our throats & labeling it ""healthy""?
It saddens me to see this place advertised as healthy! They use mainly tofu, only have ONE raw dish which for some reason cost $22 yet it's basically a salad w/ a fancy name & no flavor what so ever, all dishes looked like they are over cookied & cooked on high temps, the cake will give you heart pallations (no joke. this cake is so loaded w/ sugar & their ingredient list includes veggie shortening, how gross), & all the wheat gluten & refined wheat they use will clog you up for a week *laughs*. The cake is $12 a slice which I find hilarious for the low quality of ingredients they use to make it. The meals are ALL overpriced & every portion is small. I always left hungry.
My gluten intolerant friend was denied quinoa in her sushi roll besides white rice (ps. white rice? seriously? is brown rice that expensive? they change you so much per a roll anyway..). We were told she could order the ""Quinioa Roll"" which was only quinoa, avocado, & cumber..for $14 making it the most expensive sushi roll they had. The drinks are weak & FULL of sugar. If you suffer from yeast overgrowth (candida) DO NOT even think about coming here. & for those that do not like a lot of sugar or any added sugar DO NOT come here. If you are at all ill & coming to vegan food as a way of nourishment DO NOT come here. This vegan food will not make you feel better.
I have been here many times & each time I told myself I would not come back. Since then I have found many other places to dine out, which is nice when you want time out w/ your husband, & enjoy food! I'll NEVER go back to Sublime & advise YOU to search your options before you go & blow $80 (easy for 2 people) on a weak, unhealthy, over priced dish.
oh, & ps., they do not even offer natural soap on their bathroom. This made me angry. They care way more about the animals than they do the people that come to support the animals (they are nonprofit, so their money goes to ARFF).

THE place to go if you're looking for vegetarian and/or vegan cuisine!
The restaurant is beautiful, the menu options are not only creative and original but excellent also! The service is great and the food is unbelievable!
I'm new to the whole vegetarian and vegan diet, (I'm neither but my family is) and I'm loving eating at Sublime! The first time I was told my family had chosen to dine at Sublime, I admit I was skeptical. Now when I'm told we're going to Sublime the biggest smile appears on my face. Definitely at the top of our list!

My son, his fiance and I went to dine at Sublime Restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale and I was pleasantly surprised! At first, I thought, ""oh no a vegan restaurant"".
But to my surprise, I enjoyed my dining experience tremendously. I was so taken by this restaurant, that I have not stopped talking about it to all my friends. I highly recommend this restaurant. The food, the atmosphere and service and EXCELLENT!! I can't wait to return.

Sublime is one of our favorite places to dine in SoFL. I'm shocked by the poor reviews on this site. The food is deliciously and inventively prepared, healthful and generous portions always show up on our table, with great, friendly service. I am the only vegetarian in my family and my entire family and friends absolutely love this place. I only wish it was still open for lunch. Support this restaurant, it's eco- and animal-friendly and SO worth the prices! The portabella mushroom steak is fantastic and don't miss the sweet and sour cauliflower appetizer. If you're expecting huge Southern Italian-like portions, you should be eating for quantity and not quality, so stay home or supersize it somewhere. I've NEVER eaten here once when the owner, Nanci hasn't come to our table to make sure everything is better than average. The service is some of the finest that SoFL restaurants have to offer.
Sublime is undoubtedly the finest vegan restaurant at which we have ever dined! Considering the exquisite quality and ambiance, prices are surprisingly reasonable, and owner Nanci Alexander donates 100% of Sublime's profits to animal welfare! Small wonder such notable vegetarians as Paul McCartney, Bob Barker, Alec Baldwin, Alicia Silverstone, Pamela Anderson, Florence Henderson, et al, are patrons of this magnificent establishment!

This is a good place to go if you are a vegetarian and particularly excellent if you are a vegan. This is my favorite place to take my out of town vegan friends when they visit but personally I feel that the food is considerably overpriced for what you get. Service is wonderful and it has great atmosphere but I can't help but feel that I don't get my money's worth when I go there to dine. Definitely recommended if you are an animal lover and PETA supporter but I would not recommend this place if you are an omnivore.

Poor service, dirty dishes, tasteless food...Sublime is an absolute disgrace and it's an embarrassment to Broward County to be rated 4 stars. 4 stars is a rating given to those restaurants which exhibit an overall excellent dining experience including both food and service. However, our experience at Sublime was nothing short of eating a can of wet dog food served by the most inattentive and ignorant waitresses. To our waitress, every dish was great; however, nothing had ever been tasted. The manager should learn how to manage in a client/customer oriented business. A manager must be capable of handling situations appropriately and know when to simply apologize for mistakes as opposed to flaunting a 4 star rating and walking away.

Although Sublime seems to be a favorite among the vegan (and non-vegan) crowd in Fort Lauderdale, I don't see the appeal. The restaurant itself is very nice, and the service slightly above average (if perhaps a little slow). But restaurant lives and dies by its cuisine, and it's here where Sublime falls flat. Inventive vegan cooking is certainly well possible, but the level of creativity displayed by this menu leaves much to be desired. My picatta was underseasoned and just a flaccid mess of a dish. The portabello steak, which my husband had and of which we had heard rave reviews from friends, was equally disappointing. It had a poor texture -- very chewy -- and the sides were lukewarm and uninspired. I don't know if we were there on a bad night, but my sense of the place is that the menu sticks to the less daring and minimal. Sometimes less is more, but in case less is just less.

We decided to give Sublime another try the other night, its their third go-around now after closing and reopening three times since their introduction in Fort Lauderdale. The service is still lackluster, as it has always been. The waiter took our drink orders and didnt show back up for around 15 minutes to take our food orders. Our food was bland and tasteless, the pasta almost cold. The owner although is very nice, she asked how our dinner was and when notified that it wasnt up to par she offered it on the house, which we declined.

Average to poor food and INCREDIBLY bad service -- even hostile. The waiter was great, but we made a special request the managment could not, or rather would not, provide for a member of our party who was celebrating a birthday there. It wasn't a big deal, we were slightly offended but blew it off. But then the manager who declined our request later came over to explain further her ""reasoning"" -- or I should say to argue her point. Yes, the manager of the restaraunt ACTUALLY PICKED A FIGHT WITH US!!!!. Needless to say it didn't end well. Especially considering the prices this place charges, you should not take your business there. And even if you lioke awful service, the food is not all that great -- it used to be but now . . . who knows what happened!?

I could not wait to go to Sublime and had the wort service and food ever. I have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area most of my life and was so happy when I found this vegan restaurant after my move to South Florida.
All of our food was horrible, I will give you this example, I had the vegan steak with ancho chile and orange, it tasted like a piece of rubber with a fake smoke flavor, NO ANCHO Chile or ORANGE at all, just the fake smoke taste. I told the waiter and one of the owners and guess what? They did not do a thing.
They only had about two organic wines, what a joke and the two whites we had was delivered to our table warm.
Just be very carefull, this kind of food should be great and Sublime makes it just bad.

I have been to this restaurant numerous times. My sister and brother in law are both Vegan, I and my husband are not. Everytime they come for a visit this is a ""must do"". The first time we took them to this restaurant my sister almost cried she was so happy to know and be able to order an entire meal no substitutions from their varied menu. The place itself is something to see, food excellent, service outstanding! I highly recomend to anyone looking for a new wonderful place to eat. Must haves - sublime picatta, veggie sushi, fried cauliflower w/sweet and sour sauce and for dessert the Valrona Brownie. Oh don't forget a full service bar with all organic liquor and wine have the Mojito!

I was blown away. I thought I might see a bunch of overgrown hippies chowing down. No, it was superb. There are two beautiful window waterfalls that are the most charming and peaceful additions to this well thought out restaurant. Whole Foods is directly across the street so I wondered if alot of recipes come from there. I ordered the vegetable sushi. I never had anything like this. Black rice (which looked purple to me) Big portions too. Dont forget to try their homemade ice cream. I got the chocolate ginger. Wow. My guest ordered the Coconut cake. Wow again. With shaved fresh coconut on top. I could go on. I will wait till I go again. Oh dont forget the shopping area down the hall. Awesome......

Every thing anyone could ever want/need in a healthful/vegan/organic and peaceful environment. The food is outstanding. After dining here, there is no place at all in South Florida or elsewhere that I know of that is even somewhat comparable to the high quality, stellar service, food diversity, and their Whole Emporium. Someone who has missed this restaurant has truly missed an enriching dining environment and experience. Can't wait to go back!

We enjoyed our TOTAL vegan experience. But if you are bringing friends be sure that they know that there is vegan and only vegan food sold here. Not only was the food tasty but the atmosphere was extremely comfortable and very Cali-like. The best part of the entire experience was the coconut cake that was the best desert I have ever had!!! If you go, order it I promise you will not be sorry.
