Stay away ! Booked my car in January for my July trip ... got here and was told they had no cars for me or my sister !! All they could do was refund the money after leaving us stranded in Fort Lauderdale with three kids, Fourth of July week, at 1030 pm!! Horrible business !! Before we got on plane We even had confirmation emails sent that the cars were ready for us !!! Horrible business
SCAM SCAM SCAM Stay away from this place!!! To make a very long story short, we reserved a vehicle weeks in advance and then were told when we got there the vehicle was no longer available, even though we had our reservation and everything. On top of that, "pricing changed" so that wanted to raise our rate by $300 AND charge us for their mandatory Sunpass (no other rental center forces you to purchase this)!! Altogether they added $500 to our agreed upon and RESERVED PRICE. We wasted a day of our vacation on this scam. STAY AWAY!!! We went next door and paid $500 less. NOT A JOKE--this place is an unbelievable scam that preys on naive customers who have had a long day of traveling.
Shout out to Matt! He was fabulous on my recent trip to Ft. Lauderdale, going above and beyond to assist with my elderly parents. Getting them to the car, along with walkers and baggage, with them in wheelchairs, was no easy feat but he made it happen. Thanks again, Matt.
this was the worst experience I ever had with a rental company. I booked a convertible specifically because I needed that style of car for the weekend, I was in front of the counter at 9:30 sharp, there were 8 people in front of me. The 2 guys there were the most unprofessional employees I've ever seen in my life. They were chatting with people about personal stuff and they took an average of 15-20 minutes per customers. After waiting 90 minutes, when finally was my turn they told me not only that they had no convertible but that they didn't have any car available at all at the moment!!! When I complained they just relpied "well at least you didnt pay". This is truly unacceptable, your employees have no respect and consideration for customers!
Took forever to check out, then when I got to the front they told me I needed to provide proof of insurance or they would charge me the extra $30. I said I had insurance under the amex. They wouldn't accept it My husband happened to have our Car insurance with him but they wouldn't accept that either so I cancelled and went next door to Avis who gave me no trouble whatsoever and checked out in less than 5 minutes compared to the 45 minutes with advantage. Avis also came in $30 cheaper.
