Fort Lauderdale, FL Hotels With Smoking Rooms

It's 1:45 in the morning and after a 21 hour day running around visiting clients in South Florida, I found myself leaving Wings Plus in Coral Springs debating the ride home to Vero Beach. The debate didn't last long and I found myself on Hotwire searching for an inexpensive place to stay in North Broward.I'm not sure how the 2600 block of State Road 84 qualified for "North Broward" but Hotwire sent me to this dump. Arriving 20 minutes later, it took the desk clerk about 15 minutes to find my reservation. Assigned to room 164, the clerk quickly complimented himself that I wasn't being charged a $250 room deposit. When questioned, he stated that since I had a Broward address on my driver license, the deposit was required. Rather than argue about something that didn't happen, I quickly thanked him and went to my room.Parking was very tight and tow-away signs reminded guests not to park in the back parking lot as that was reserved for semi-trailer parking. I found a parking space and quickly went to my room hoping not to get mugged on the way. If I'm correct - it was room 154 that was converted to the laundry room. The door was open and washing machines were running.My room was barren and minimal. It had an okay bed, plenty of open space on a tile floor and that smoke smell that you wonder about in a non-smoking room. Bathroom had a single bar of soap, and a small bottle of shampoo. Two plastic cups on the table in case one got thirsty during their stay.A television with non-functional remote control, no microwave or refrigerator. I'm only here for six to eight hours, but I would have been more comfortable sleeping in my 2017 Nissan Armada SUV. At least the air conditioning and plush leather seats would have been more comfortable than my room. No deals and no frills - you get exactly what you pay for at this Red Carpet Inn. The only convenience is location - it's 30 seconds from Interstate 95 on State Road 84 in Fort Lauderdale. A few hours of sleep and it was time for a shower. Facilities were minimal - toilet had one of those power flush devices and shower had luke warm water.Out of the room by 8:15 a.m. that's all I have to report.Bill LewisVero Beach, Florida

First time staying here and we love it. The grounds are well manicured and they keep the place clean. 3 different pools to enjoy. They had a Saturday afternoon 'tea dance' with free booze, snacks and music supplied by a local DJ. The continental breakfast is a nice touch. Staff is approachable and friendly. Our room was a king junior suite. Had a cooktop, microwave and fridge. We enjoyed the pool areas. Cool shade when you need it and plenty of sun at the pools.

Customer service at check-in is very bad, I feel customers are not taken care of. We flew red eye and we were at the hotel at 7:30am. I understand it's way too early to check in and they say they will contact us when the room is ready. The time goes by, nothing. We checked back with them at noon, then at 2pm. The manager said it'll be between now and 4pm which is the regular check in time. Our friend who traveled with us, came in at noon and got a room. Good that we had a place to crash. I was dead tired. At 4:05pm, they did not call us. What the...I was so upset.My husband and friend went down to check. The person at the desk said, the room was ready 15 minutes ago but they didn't call!! Why didn't they call. I just needed a place to have some rest. If the hotel cares for their customers, they wouldn't be doing this. And 2 times, the house-keeping knocked and opened my friend's room when we were inside sleeping. What the heck? They have no communication with front desk. Don't they know this room just got checked-in???I was not satisfied with them and I would not recommend this hotel. There's so many other hotels to choose anyway! It would have been a good start of our vacation, they just ruin it. Thumbs down. Good that we had to stay only one night. I would give them a minus 5 star if there's choice for that. I'm usually generous giving my review. This is first time I'm being so critical.

I stay here annually before a cruise. Love the spacious rooms and the breakfast provided in the morning. Lots of options with a hosted cocktail party nightly and an in house restaurant.

Very nice hotel, at the beach, great rooms, amazing views, good restaurant downstairs and at the hotels on either side, easy to find.

**CAUTION*** Within 10 minutes of checking in I was hustled for money from, another guest at the hotel who looked very shady.. My car was broken into and the chair I put outside the hotel room was stolen!!!! NOT A HOTEL FOR KIDS!!!! I felt very unsafe and left the the next day even though i booked 2 nights. Lots of construction by hotel and was awakened by the beeping!!! They are NOT CLOSE to the beach!!! Hotel was clean and neat, but the woman at the front desk seemed clueless and NOT HELPFUL at all when I told her about my car being broken into right in front of the office. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY AT ALL!!!!! I stayed the on 7/20 and left within 18 hours of checking in!!!!!

What a Venue!! What a view!!! We photographed Antoine & Rachelle's Wedding this past weekend there and we can't say enough good things about Pier Top Ballroom. Let's start with the view, a gorgeous 360° view of Fort Lauderdale's skyline, it just doesn't get better than that. The staff was very professional and accommodating. If you are looking for a venue for your upcoming wedding or special event, Pier Top Ballroom is a MUST!

This location is a hidden gem, they have many newly renovated rooms at this time and are working on bring the rest up to the quality of the one we stayed in. Our room wasn't large but had well appointed spaces and a new very comfortable king sized bed with a tiny kitchenette that had two tall seats a little breakfast table, bar sized sink a little fridge, pod coffee maker and a small couch. The bathroom was extremely well lit with a large shower and plenty of hot water. We love to spend our time at the beach or exploring so don't need much. The staff was extremely helpful and easy to talk with making sure our stay was everything we expected. We already have reservations for this room for next year!

Very clean, modern, quiet!!We stayed at the Ramada Fort Lauderdale Airport Hotel , and as usual we had a good visit. The room was clean, as was the bathroom, and linens. Very clean, well maintained, comfortable beds, excellent front desk staff, quick check in and best of all a great healthy choice breakfast. I recommend this hotel to every one
