My 1st appointment I asked to get a cleaning . No cleaning was ever done. There is no PRIVACY ! I've never seen a dentist office like this. You are literally getting a cleaning and the hygienist is telling you all these things and everyone can hear in the reception area. It's so uncomfortable. The front desk and manager Ashley have no type of customer service. They are rude and make you feel uncomfortable. They have cancelled my appointments twice. And I don't complain. However, when I wanted to cancel my appointment because after they gave me pricing I said I couldn't afford it right now they threatened to charge me $25 for cancelling. However, all week I was calling them for pricing and they said they would call me back and never did !!!!!! They are all very rude and selfish. I dare them to charge me $25. They just lost 2 patients.
Office is nice looking, service is normal- nothing special. The prices are astronomical!! way way way too expensive!!
Staff is friendly and very pleasant but they will upsell you like crazy. They pressured me to have my son's wisdom teeth removed even though they weren't giving him any trouble and weren't impacted. Wisdom teeth removal isn't without risks and in reality, only 12% of people will actually need to have their wisdom teeth removed. See link below:http://www.thehealthyhomeeconomist.com/skip-that-surgery-most-wisdom-tooth-extractions-unnecessary/Furthermore, in decades of going to the dentist I've always been told I had great teeth and have in fact been told I would probably never get a cavity or need a deep cleaning. This office gave me a "deep cleaning" on two consecutive visits. The second time, they didn't even inform me--just billed me afterwards. The cleaning took just 30 minutes and the dentist didn't even come in to check on me.We were also pressured to buy invisalign for my son's teeth (he just had his braces removed by another dentist a few months before and was still wearing his retainer). I was also told I needed a night bite guard. My last two dentists advised this was not necessary since I've had the same condition for 40 years and it hasn't worsened. This dentist, however, told me my condition would worsen and I would suffer permanent disabling consequences. Again, the staff is very nice but if you have great insurance they will take full advantage of it and do everything they can to bill your insurance company for whatever they can and then try to get you to pay out of pocket.
So I am scheduled today for a root canal. Its supposed to be at 9:00 a.m. I came in a few minutes late, like less than five minutes late and they told me I had to reschedule and the next appointment wont be until November!! I got extremely upset, Dr. Yarimar Ruiz heard I was upset so she came out from the room where she was with a client and instead of trying to calm and assist the situation she told the front desk to not schedule me for another Saturday! So now I have to take time off from my job and still the next available appointment is not until another two weeks. They never told me to that even if I am a few minutes late their policy is to reschedule, when I asked why didn't they call me this morning to tell me that instead of having me come all the way there the front desk lady said "why didn't I call to say I was going to be a few minutes late". Wow!! Bella Family Dental close at 12:00 on Saturdays so because I'm not scheduled she has extra time, so my point is why couldn't I come in after she was done with her other clients today?!! Horrible way they handled this situation, and I would go to another dentist but the time its going to take to go through insurance will take forever. So I will go through with it and definitely review on that situation when it comes. My advice is don't come to Bella Family Dental late, come 10 minutes early . Not that it would matter because they will have you waiting like when I came another the time before this.
First let me say I have no affiliation to Bella family dental like Mr. Ruben delgado here, he's the owner or president. I am an actual client. Saturday I get my first root canal so we'll see how that goes, and I will definitely review on that. I had a cleaning done by Dr. Yarimar Ruiz and she was patient with me because I had a lot of questions and she educated me thoroughly on what needed to be done. She sat me in her office and showed me on the computer what was wrong and explained in detail the procedure that she will perform. I didn't feel like she wanted to do a crazy procedure just to get more money. It is true what Mr. Delgado said about the front desk staff, they took the time to explain to me the type of insurance that I have and what would and wouldn't cover. They really do work with you. It is also true about the entertainment room for the children. All in all its been great so far. I will keep you posted on how it goes for my root canal.
Today I arrived a few minutes early for my dental appointment and was greeted by OD. I only waited 5 minutes and was met by Dr. Friedland and his dental assistant. Their office is very clean and well organized. As I entered the exam room, my x-rays were already up on the moniter showing my suspect areas. After a couple of root canals and a crown. My teeth were absolutely healthy again. I've not had any problems since. My routine cleaning is scheduled for the end of the month. The best hygienist I've ever had - Mayra. All services are provided using the most up to date state of the art equipment and all procedures are fully explained. Dr. Friedland explains all and every option available as well as being conservative. I have dental insurance and at the end of the first visit/consultation I was provided with an estimate of all the charges based on treatment that was recommended for me. Dr. Friedland is a caring professional whom I'm very happy to have found. I will recommended him and the staff to family and friends. Thank you very much!!
Our pediatrician is very knowledgable, however, their office policies are lacking severely. My son's insurance company had a glitch in their computer system. When it resolved, the reinstated his insurance, only to find out that CDTC was not accepting 'new clients' with that insurance, only keeping existing clients. He is autistic and has been a patient of theirs for YEARS but they said that because his insurance lapsed (to no fault of our own) that he missed the cut off date by one month to stay a patient (I guess they enter them as "new patients" when their insurance lapses and starts up again). Needless to say, I find this process a little odd and would go as far as to say it's a bit negligent toward my autistic child and his needs. The office tells me there is nothing that can be done. We have to find a new pediatrician now. Trust me, I am equally as disappointed with insurance company themselves. The lapse in his coverage was their fault, not the pediatrician's, but the pediatrician, being aware of this, put "process before patient". I can understand they are unable to accept new patients, but he has been going there of over five years and a lapse in his insurance should not make him considered a new patient. The office explained to me it's not just him; ALL their SPECIAL NEEDS patients are being kicked to the curb if they have had a lapse in insurance with this particular insurance company because they are processing them as new patients if they had). For those whose insurance hasn't lapsed, they can only hope that it doesn't moving forward, or they will be dropped, too. I really do not agree with their process of considering existing patients new patients due to a temporary lapse in insurance, especially when they know full-well this was a glitch with the insurance company. If you are looking for a pediatrician who genuinely cares about the well being of children, this unfortunately is not it. There were a lot of pitfalls we put up with from this place, perhaps for too long. For example often waiting HOURS in the waiting room before even being triaged to be seen. There were times we had to leave without being seen because otherwise we would have missed other appointments. They would tell us not to schedule appointments for the same day, but our appointments were emailed to us without checking out availability first, and they had on record (through their medical home program) what days and times our other appointments were for our kids. Again, would give the pediatrician herself and her knowledge 5 stars, but the office and their practices and their lack of caring for a patient's well being, that I would give 0 stars if I could.
Staff are very helpful with all the care and helping each client to receive excellent medical, case management, mental health services that are needed..
Wonderful environment, very relax and don't feel any rush like other offices. They really work it out with insurances and have many real financial options. I was told by another doctor that one of my molar had to be extracted and Dr. Ruiz work it out for my own benefit and saved it. My kids are also a little hyper and never let me go to my appnmts because they get bored, but they have a room for them with video games, movies and wi-fi and they stayed entertained while I was getting treated....Thanks to all staff! Att Becky!
