DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, YOU'LL REGRET IT! I've moved crosscountry twice with different moving companies, the latter being this one. Provided an estimate and went through each room of my home, with accurate information on each item. The estimate that they gave me was SO FAR OFF from the final. Told me 5k, and they did NOT estimate correctly. They show up WITH A RENTED TRUCK, that wasn't going to move a home of items that we discussed. They loaded it up and were only half way through. Here's where they get you! THE TRUCK IS LOADED & THAT'S WHEN THEY SAY THIS IS GOING TO BE DOUBLE! We tried to be reasonable with them on the phone, the guy was rude, kept talking over him, and HUNG UP W/O HELPING US! MIND YOU OUR LIFE IS SITTING ON THE TRUCK AND NEED TO BE 11 STATES AWAY IN 5 DAYS. Put us in a rock and a hard place, which feels like their plan all along! I HAD TO PAY 11K FOR THIS MOVE. THAT WE DID NOT HAVE. Turned down 3 other companies and I regret it. To be clear, moving co's pick up from LOCATION A and to take items to new home at LOCATION B. That's it,not here. They pick up w/ CONTRACTED WORKERS & RENTED TRUCK, THEN take items to their warehouse IN NJ TO RESHUFFLE! THEN TAKE TO LOCATION B. THIS IS WHERE MY $400 VACUUM WENT MISSING! Also how 80% of furniture was damaged. They just throw items around, I have BRAND NEW Dining & Bedroom sets 6 mo. old that were ALL DAMAGED. BUSTED CORNERS AND GAPING HOLES IN A WOOD DRESSER, HOW DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN? BROKEN DISHES THAT WERE TRIPLE WRAPPED AND MARKED FRAGILE. FAMILY CHINA PASSED DOWN THAT'S UNABLE TO BE REPLACED! Ever since, NO ONE will call me back! BECAUSE THEY HAVE A CALL CENTER SERVICE THAT ANSWERS THE PHONE AND PUSHES MESSAGES...OR SO THEY STATE, BECAUSE I'VE LEFT 10+ MESSAGES AND EMAILS AND NO ONE CALLS BACK.I'VE PLACED A CLAIM WITH THEIR 3RD PARTY INS. I'M ASSUMING AT THIS POINT A MONTH LATER THAT I'M NOT GETTING ANYTHING BACK FOR THEIR NEGLIGENCE. BUYER BEWARE DON'T DO ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!
I own a lot of breakables. So naturally I was worried for how they were going to travel from Danbury, CT to Raleigh, NC. I specifically asked the movers from Long Distance to take extra care of my glassware. They did exactly that. They were very well equipped and methodically packed everything carefully. They packed everything in the van like Tetris. In the end, when my belongings arrived in North Carolina I checked to make sure everything arrived unscathed. One mug was damaged in transit but other than that nothing was broken. I was so happy with the services provided by this company.
I was definitely pretty nervous at first but had a great experience with Long Distance that I wanted to share. I'm not the type of customer to ask for unreasonable things, and I don't think the things I asked of Long Distance were unrealistic. I just wanted the job to get done quickly, safely, and affordably. From the very beginning Sammy assured me this would be done. I take anything a sales person tells me with a grain of salt. But Sammy’s guys delivered on every promise he made. I was happy with how everything went and just wanted to share that these guys are upfront and honest from the very beginning. The Cadillac of moving companies!
Distance just left my house an hour ago. As promised they showed up in one of their trucks, wearing their uniforms, with their bill of lading. I got swindled by a broker once before and didn't want to deal with brokers. Long Distance showed me on their DOT page that they are indeed a carrier and that why I chose them. I'm glad I did too! This crew of movers was the best. They really went above and beyond- not sure if they just wanted a tip or if that how all their employees’ are- but either way they were great. I’ve already given mats number to some of my friends moving to California and hope they sue them too.
Long Distance put forth 110% effort when it came to meeting my needs. I'm one happy and satisfied customer. Anthony and rabbi were most excellent. These guys thoroughly blanket wrapped and pad wrapped everything. They packed all of my glass and mirrors. They were so nice and very helpful. I was originally planning on selling all my furniture and buying new to avoid headaches but Long Distance told me not to worry and that I was in good hands. They were definitely right!
The sales person lied and I was fool enough to believe. Do not trust anything that is not in the contract, even with his texts where he openly mislead me, if it is not in the contract (even though their "supervisor" tells you that they have to include the information because it is standard, but that he is aware of your time constraint) they will wait until the last possible date within that contract to complete delivery. when you call to get updates they stall for time, knowing that they had to make time after lying to you to get your business, telling you that they are calling their trucker, and that they will call you back with ETA, needless to say, they never called back, I had to call over and over again.DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, they have absolutely no ethics.
My experience with Long Distance was no different than the hundreds of great reviews I read. The price was in the middle but they really pushed value. To me it’s worth spending an extra 100$ for no BS. Long Distance delivered on everything they promised and then some. Got my job out on time and even threw in a free TV box for my OLED sonny. Real deal guys right here. They accidentally left one of my boxes t the warehouse but when I called the overnighter it to me VIA ups and I got it the very next day. I get that stuff happens- its how you deal with it that makes you a good company.
Thank you so much to Two Men N' Van team for moving us all the way from Fort Lauderdale to Venice in under 3 hours. It started out hot and humid in the morning and just got worse as the day went on,but they never slowed down. Stayed professional and in good spirits the whole time. We could not have done it without them.
Two Men N' Van were great to work with. They were always quick to respond to any questions we had, and gave us a fair and reasonable quote. The movers were right on time and did a great job. They moved the furniture from one home to another, and took some furniture to a donation center for us. The crew was polite and respectful, and worked in a timely manner. We would certainly recommend this company.
