The lady's review before me is writing reviews on every site she could find. Wow! I just looked them up real quick to see when they opened tomorrow and i have to say I'm Shocked by what I've read. I'm guessing they didnt know she had a gel coat on top of her nails because she obviously said nothing to them. Ive been here at least 12 times and my first time the man didnt know i had a gel coat on either and i told him it was a UV gel coating and i had acrylics on so i said it was fine to use the drill (as in the same case in the previous review -Except i spoke up). The reason i believe it is ok to assume she didnt say anything is bc she admittedly paid and left w/o a word. I started going to sky nails after LA nails on taft & Elizabeth would constantly let me go out the door w the paint in terrible shape (i.e. bubbles all over, paint all over my skin... or acrylic lifting before i left, & last time was when a tech wasnt understanding to what i was asking- which was a simple french w glitter tip instead of regular white & after 3rd nailed & not asking anyone to translate, i said it was fine id paint them at home and paid them their $90. And since I've been at sky nails ive witnessed them have trouble with someones question but they get somebody over immediately to find out what it is the customer wants. They are very friendly and do great work! They even hand out water to customers at no cost. They talk to you and make jokes and laugh with everyone. Its an awful hit, business wise, to leave a review like that when you didn't tell them and give them a chance to fix it. These people take their time and never rush you away bc theres someone else waiting. Of course they keep the customer not waiting for too long but you've got to expect a lil wait time w/o an appt. fyi- longest ive waited w my 2 daughters was 10 min, only one time. They are definitely doing a great job here. Shame on this woman who wants to "cyber bully" in her own way seek revenge rather than allow them a chance to fix it. there are a few things i can think of that she could've said or done instead of go home and cost them business for one bad manicure that she herself ssid nothing about until she was in the confines of her castle sitting upon her thrown as she wrote these reviews. For the people reading this review I would recommend them. You dont have to take my word for it but i wouldnt NOT go simply bc the queen had a bad experience one time. Thank you, thats just my two cents anyways....
I had never gotten anything done to my hair my entire life (of 24 years). I decided to get my hair layered with reddish highlights. I went to Regis Salon at the Foothills Mall and got my hair botched up so bad. It looked like a blind woman had cut my hair. It was not layered evenly at all. There were chunks of really short hair in weird and oddly placed areas and when my hair hung naturally it looked very messy and choppy. There was no smoothness to it at all. Everyone I showed it to looked at it with this horrible expression and asked where I got it done so they wouldn't make the same mistake I did. I thought there was no other way to fix it but have it chopped off at the shortest layer, about 6 inches shorter than it originally was. I looked salons up online and found Le Salon. I got scheduled for an appointment the next day with Joni. I don't have any idea how she did what she did to my hair, but it looks awesome. She saved way more than what I thought possible and somehow managed to blend the really short spots into the rest. I can't even tell where the short spots were at. It has the smoothness I wanted and it hangs great and looks perfect. I am so happy with the style I have now and I will always go back to her for future haircuts. I would definitely reccomend going to Joni at Le Salon if you are looking for a new stylist. She offers hair tips and even gives a head massage when washing your hair.... :-) Absolutely an amazing experience!!
This salon has it all. A very sophisticated atmosphere awaits you. The owner balances being fun and funky with being a new mom. The posh style salon welcomes little ones without being kid central. You have to try the comfortable hair washing station. They provide you a pillow instead of cramping your neck into a hard porcelain wash basin. I received a beautiful and professional haircut from Leah Ross. She was not afraid to tackle my very thick hair on a walk-in appointment. She was also happy to seek consultation with the owner of Salon Salon who was a hair school instructor for several years. They worked as a team to ensure that I received the perfect cut for my face type. Even at the end of the workday, they took the time to listen to my needs and did not rush the haircut just to get it done. Between the owner and Leah, I walked out with a very sexy haircut. I found Salon Salon to be the perfect place to get the pampering that I deserve as a new mom! They have very reasonable prices for haircuts and several first cut specials. The staff is friendly, professional, funky and beautiful. My husband can't wait to get his haircut there. We are totally coming back for the wee ones first haircut once he can stop wiggling. A great salon for hip and modern, yet family oriented, northern Colorado.
I don't even know where to begin. I've always been extremely picky about who touches my hair (literally one other person has ever highlighted my hair), and when I moved to Fort Collins, I didn't know what to do. Then I found Kasim. He has made my hair look better, blonder, and healthier than it ever has before. I trust him completely with my hair, and believe me I don't do that lightly. He makes great recommendations on cut and color (from making it brighter to a few low-lights to taking a few inches off, etc.), and I constantly get complimented on my hair. I recommend him to every single one of my friends (and strangers who love my hair), and he knows he's never allowed to move without me coming with him- I need him to do my hair! Do yourself a favor, and go see him!! You won't be disappointed. Plus everyone is really friendly at Tuana. I also love Turkish coffee:)
I returned this afternoon to visit Kelsey (new talent color) again, and I am even more THRILLED with the results. I went for a full process color this time that is a bit darker and redder than I have gone in awhile, and it is super shiny/multidimensional and fits my skin tone and hazily-brown eyes very nicely! I was going for an Emma Stone inspired chocolate brown with a hint of auburn color, and so far I love it! Kelsey took so much time to discuss my desires and expectations and were super attentive. The cut is PERFECT this time around for my needs. She was very responsive to the reality of my hair versatility needs (super curly to super straight), and my layers are natural looking and bouncy. I'm loving it ladies. Thank you and see you next time!!!
I haven't had such a great experience in years! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable — they are professionals and it shows. I felt as if I got a really good deal too, because I would have paid a lot more for the quality cut I received. I have been ripped off before by paying way too much for an unflattering hair cut (I have curly/wavy hair that is difficult to cut). I even got a complimentary scalp massage and a warm towel for my face while I was getting my hair washed (it was like a spa!). Take my advice, go to Stuido Be. The place was bustling when I went, so make an appointment or see if they can fit you in the same day.
I like it when people take time doing a service for me and making the money worth it. I enjoyed the pedicure service because the nail tech there had thoroughly did my pedicure for me and explained to me what was going on and what he was going to do as if guiding me through my service while I had the time to relax and enjoy. He openly talked to me in a positive manner and created a more acquainted environment. He had also taken the time to do my pedicure slowly and given me long leg and foot massages. Most of all, I had appreciated him not rushing through my service even if I came in late and it was reaching time of closing.
I just went to Jamie at Street Stylez Salon in Old Town Fort Collins. I'm going to recomend her to everyone i know! She did such a good job of listening to what i want, and then telling me what would work and what wasnt going to work. The end result was beautiful! Ive been to many hairdressers at many salons and this was the perfect match! I know my hair is always going to look amazing with Jamie, and Street Stylez is such a neat little salon. Everyone there is very friendly and its so family-like! If your looking for a new salon/stylist I would say give Jamie at Street Stylez a try! :)
You have to go here and ask for Ray!!! He is by far the best stylist because he's a great listener, and has talent and knowledge to back it up! I know when I go to see Ray, I'm going to get someone who can offer suggestions and has a great creative eye, but doesn't have an agenda to push, and just wants me to be happy with my hair! And I always am. I'm a lifer when it comes to this guy! Also have to love Paul Mitchell products, after recently trying Bumble and Bumble again I can't wait to switch back, the value is amazing and they totally perform!
I LOVE Sky Nails. PAY NO ATTENTION to Nic K.'s review. I was so thrilled they opened a nail salon near my house about three years ago. I would go with my mom every month. They have GREAT customer service and are great people. I moved to Denver recently and I STILL go get my nails done with my mom when I come to visit. They are a great nail salon, I have had manis, pedis, acrylics, solar and even my eyebrows waxed. AWESOME customer service. They still ask my mom for me BY NAME when she goes in. THEY ARE GREAT!
