This was my daughter's first time being in daycare, and I can honestly say my family and I were overall displeased with this experience. Our daughter is 1 year old, so she's been used to being with me full-time, so crying was to be expected. I went to pick her up one day and I heard her screaming before I even got to her room, and I could tell the teacher was annoyed because she mumbled something under her breath. When we got home I fed her some of the food that I sent with her to school and she gulped it down like she hadn't been fed all day. Her last day in attendance my mom picked her up and she had to stop at Jack In The Box; she ate half of her sourdough jack. BIG red flag for me. Every day I sent breakfast, snack foods, and lunch with her and every time I picked her up, it was all still in her bag untouched. They told my fiancé that she didn't like the food that we packed and didn't want to eat it with a spoon. First of all, she loves the food and will eat it if and when she's in the mood for it, so for them to say she doesn't like it is BS. I wouldn't buy it if she didn't like it. Vanilla wafers and cheeze-its don't constitute as a meal. There are different methods and tactics for getting babies/children to eat, so excuse after excuse does NOT fly with me; especially for the going rate day cares charge these days. The second issue I have is the camera. They charge $5 extra each week for you to monitor your kid throughout the day. It's not the price that bothered me (sort of), it's when they move your child in a different room without contacting you. I logged into the camera portal one day just to see what she was up to and I noticed there was a different group of babies. I felt it was unprofessional, and it bothered me a lot that I was not informed of my child's whereabouts. Lastly, when my daughter and I'd get home, I noticed that some of her belongings were missing. I told them the only things I want left there are her diapers and her wipes. Her teacher(s) only had three babies in the room, so I feel like they could have handled packing her things when they had down time. I understand everyone is forgetful, but every single day? I feel like they need to train their staff extensively. I want my child to be taken care of as if I was caring for her. The thought of sending her to a place where I have to question if she'll be fed is unsettling. They begged us to let her stay and claimed that "nothing happened". This is the sort of thing that seems to happen when they charge so much every week. My fiancé's stepmom said she has never heard good things about this place, I only wish we would've asked her sooner. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
We love this daycare. They have quarterly assessments and reports to show me how well my children are doing. Awesome Teachers and love the new director.
excellent directors and staff, and they have a wonderful atmosphere.
