We dined here twice and both times the service was horrific. On our second visit we learned that it was the owner who was supposed to be taking care of our table. I'm not surprised because an employee would be much more careful so not to lose their job. How dare the owner also be a server, you are never supposed to tip the owner of any business. This woman has it made, she has only one waitress helping her with a crowded dining room, is obviously not caring about hiring, afterall, now she can make the profit on the food, give poor service and get to collect tips! It's a wonder she can even sleep at night! We would never even consider dining there again, just not worth it!

Used to be good when it first opened but now even the owner doesn't care and attacks customers when they complain instead of trying to make their dining experience better. Poor food quality and extremely high prices for what you get and don't even tell them you have a coupon till after you get the bill because they will pad the bill, they charged us for 15 unsweetened iced teas when we only got 10 (5 people in 2 1/2 hours) to make up the difference of the coupon. The worst is when the owner accosted one of our group on her way to the bathroom, after that we just paid the bill and tipped the waiter who BTW was outstanding under the circumstances. Won't go there ever again.
We've been here at least 4 times this summer and totally love it. The mariscada in red sauce is excellent. Their chicken is amazing. A little heavy on the salt with the pork and clams and their soups but over all an excellent experience. lf you go on a Friday or Saturday you may be treated to some music. Campy but fun.

The food here is outstanding! The service couldn't be better.
If your looking for something much better then pizza or a cheap buffet, try this place.
Oh, it's BYOB so bring a nice bottle of wine for your meal. I had the chicken and my wife had the Bitoque. Very good!
First thing I noticed was how spotless the dining room was. Nice warm bread and butter started the meal. Salad bar was so-so. I heard the lentil soup was not good. Had the shrimp and scallops with white wine and garlic sauce, potato slices, and rice. Shrimp were large and good quality. Hope to go back soon.
It's so nice to have a restaurant with a touch of portuguese nearby. The bread they start you off with comes from Newark which great (something to do with the water I'm told). It is BYOB, but they have glasses and ice on hand & they're very helpful. The be prepared to spend about $20-25 a dish, but the meals are plentiful. The pork is amazing as you'd expect from a portuguese restaurant and the seafood plentiful. The other dish we had was the Rib Eye steak, HUGE!
A nice quiet place for dinner and a great break from the big chains. I'm definitely recommending it and will be back.
