- The Music Connection is owned and operated by professional musicians and music educators, providing musicians from the greater Minneapolis / St. Paul area, and much of Minnesota, with all their musical instrument needs. We specialize in fine musical instruments, both acoustic and electric, state-of-the-art portable and permanently installed sound systems. A complete assortment of accessories and printed music is stocked and music lessons are available as well. We provide band & orchestra rental instruments, including pianos, to many Schools and Universities across the state. Our main musical instrument store in Minnesota is located in Forest Lake, just 25 minutes from the Twin Cities. From beginning student to seasoned professional, we can help any music lover fulfill their dreams. Provided by DexKnowsi went there for my first trumpet and it was a really nice trumpet so one time the first valve was sticking and i didnt know why so i sent it in to music connection to see what was wrong. they cleaned it for me and got the one dent that i had out of it.

Provided by DexKnowsI bought my first bass here about 8 months ago, and I felt like because I wasn't buying the $800 + model they didn't have much time for me. I also never got a bag I was supposed to get. A friend bought her bass (SAme thing) at GC in roseville & they polished it all nice before she left and gave her a bag...which is supposed to come standard with this bass guitar!!!! Duh!
This place is a joke. I've bought 2 expensive guitars there over the past year, and I never even got a thanks from them. Then, when I had an issue with one of the guitars they blew it off and said "That's the way it's supposed to be". I've played guitar for over 20 years and I know a bad set up when I see one! Guitar Center is way better at helping you pick out your guitar and with follow up......and they're a huge corporation, where you wouldn't expect good customer service. Bottom like: The Music Connection (at least the one in Flake), and Mike their guitar tech......is a JOKE!
