Flooring
Capital Roofing Contractors (CRC) specializes in metal, slate and tile roofs. We can locate any type of roof tile for our customers whether it is presently made or extinct and no longer manufactured. CRC installs genuine quarried slate along with man-made slate and eco-friendly 100% salvageable slate. We prefer using copper fasteners and flashings on our slate roofs. CRC also installs genuine quarried slate flooring.

SKYLIGHTS, GUTTERS, CHIMNEY CAPS, METAL DORMERS: CRC fabricates and installs skylights, gutters, chimney caps, and metal dormers made of any type of metal and in any size.

Gutters
METAL ROOFS: Premium metal roofs can last a lifetime and increase the resale value of your home. Today’s metal roofs come in a variety of styles and colors, are energy efficient, Class A fire rated, and recycleable. Primarily made from aluminum and steel, they are also available in solid copper and zinc alloys. CRC installs standing seam metal, copper metal, and stone-coated steel roofs. We also install copper metal on bay window roofs, copper spires and finials, and copper gutters and flashings.
Residential Roof Repair
Capital Roofing Contractors (CRC) is owned by Charles Knight, who after completing Small Business Management Courses in college, began his roofing company in 1978. He personally installed roofs for many years learning the installation of all types of roofing, specializing in metal, slate and tile. CRC promotes installing landfill-free roofing materials such as genuine slate rock, copper, stainless, salvageable plastics, aluminum and steel. CRC is dedicated to preserving the architecture and history of historic structures by locating hard to find extinct roofing products.

Roof Flashings
Capital Roofing Contractors offers an annual or bi-annual Roof Tune-up service for a nominal fee which includes inspecting the roof for any loose roofing materials, renailing and resealing; Removing all leaves, acorns, tree debris from the roof and gutters and flushing the gutters and downspouts; Checking all roof flashings around vents, heat stacks, and chimneys for damage. Minor repairs are included and a free written estimate is submitted for missing or damaged roof materials that need replacing. Most leaks are caused by flashing problems, missing or damaged roof material, and clogged drainage systems. Finding and fixing these problems before they cause major damage is an important part of maintenancing the roof to help it last its lifetime.

Painting
ROOF DECKING and CARPENTRY: CRC installs all types of roof decking as per the manufacturer’s venting specifications to prevent warping. We install eave soffit boards, eave and gable fascia boards, and shingle moldings. We perform all types of architectural carpentry including vaulted ceilings. We also perform interior or exterior painting and wood staining.
Carpentry
Capital Roofing Contractors fabricates and installs skylights and specialty skylights of all sizes and shapes. CRC offers remote-controlled skylights, crank open, Low E glass, and tempered, to name a few. We fabricate and install gutters, metal dormers, louvers, finials, weather vanes, and spires made out of any type of metal – aluminum, copper, galvanized, etc. CRC also fabricates and installs chimney caps and we install and replace soffit vents and under eave vents. CRC performs all carpentry pertaining to the roof substructure – rafters, decking, fascia boards, eave soffit boards, trim molding – and we fabricate and install decorative capitals and corbels. All wood replacements on existing houses are primed and painted by CRC. (No replacement wood is left exposed to the elements.)
Insulation
ROOF VENTILATION: We offer all types of roof venting including solar powered or electric thermostatically-controlled attic power ventilators, gable and roof louvers, under eave vents, ridge vents, and lifetime warranted wind turbines. Without proper ventilation, serious damage can occur such as wet insulation, mildew, and rotting wood. Most residential attic ventilation requires a balanced system of 50% exhaust vents and 50% intake vents. They both must be of proper size and number per square footage of your attic. (Note: Never cover wind turbines with plastic bags during the winter. It causes condensation and wood rot in the attic)
