Was looking for a new salon (close to me). The others salons cut and styled my hair the way they wanted. I walked into Bladez to check them out and Connie told me she could take me. She listened to what I said and gave me a cut and style I am very happy with. Left the salon very pleased. Went from a Before to an After. Will definitely go back.
The nail tech was very sweet but inexperienced. My shellac manicure was sloppy, has chipped after 2 days and now less than a week, looks terrible. Very disappointing.
I used to come to these guys every few weeks! I went in after about 2 weeks after getting a gel nail and Tony said he was going to fix my nail. The polish came off completely on one nail. And the design was sloppy! I showed him a picture and it look so bad compared to the pic. But after 40 mins of having me wait and he brought me to his chair and told me he wasnt going to do it because it was time for me to get new gel. I disagreed politely because my nails usually last 4 weeks and then he told me no they dont they only last 2 weeks. I left very upset and I will never go here again! How can you tell someone when to get a gel? Ive been getting gel for like 4 or 5 years and they always last about 4 weeks. I was disappointed. Never again. I found a girl named Lila (Pretty Nails by Lila) go to her. And tell her K Johnson sent you.
Went in for an eyebrow wax. Tech asked how she did on the first eyebrow, I didn't like it. My eyebrows were completely full before going in, thus no reason why my eyebrow would not have any arch to it once it was waxed. Wanting to get it over with I told her to proceed to the next brow only for her to become aggressive, pushing my head around. I told her to stop, not even letting her finish the job due to her being so rude and rough. She then threw the tweezers and other items down and walked out. Not to mention she got wax in my eyelashes as well. I will never recommend this place nor spend my money here ever again. I did not become rude with these people and paid my money even though their service and attitude was beyond subpar. Good luck if you go after reading this review. You'll need it.
I was charged $25 ahead of time for my appointment. when I arrived my stylist complained she didn't have time. I sat there waiting for fifteen minutes then she asked someone else to braid my hair up. Then I waited another 50 minutes while she let another client ahead of me, went out for a smoke break and gossiped with co-workers. At this point I went to the front desk to ask for my money back. They said no. I got dirty looks and complaints about finishing my hair. It looked HORiBBLE@!! Bad service, bad skills, bad business
They did a HORRIBLE JOB! STAY AWAY FROM HERE! No one aplogized. I have glue everywhere I didnt even want to pay.
I went there and Vam did my nails. He did an awesome design on all my nails. It was $56 including eyebrows. I go back 2 weeks later and get same things and he charges $68. No way did I go back. Where's the set price? I was a good tipper too . i went back to my old salon less than $50 for eyebrows and nails.
This is a fantastic salon and trust me, I've tried a lot of places. Great hairstylists, really friendly and reasonably priced. I see Dom and she is awesome. This is a place to stay with.
Amber is awesome. My whole family from 4 and 7 year old to my husband with little hair to my self who is very picking are happy with her work. I also get my brows waxed by Amber.
DO NOT BUT A GIFTCARD FROM 2010 NAILS!!! My sister purchased a $40 giftcard here on Dec 23, 2014 (and has a bank statement to prove it). I wanted a mani-pedi for my summer vacation, but their was no expiration date anywhere, so I used it on June 10 of this year. AFTER my mani-pedi, when I went to pay, they said the card had a $0 balance, but go ahead and pay and call the manager, Heather, the next day and she would refund my $40 after verifying the card history. Today is July 13, and Heather has strung me along, finally saying on 7/9 that she can't find any proof, but she would buy me another $40 giftcard. I responded that I didn't want that, just my $$ back. I'm on a limited budget, and I don't want anyone their ever touching my hands and feet again. The manicurist nicked the skin on my cuticle (an older man)! The sad thing is, I just bought a house in Florissant, and was looking for a good nail place for when I can afford to get my nails done. Nail salons are on every corner...save yourself the violation of feeling ripped off and go to one of those! I waited to post this review for a month - I wouldn't have said anything if Heather had returned my $$
