Yu-Lan Mary Ying, MD brings extensive training and experience to Summit Health's Ear, Nose, and Throat team, specializing in Otology/Neurotology, a subspecialty of Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat) that focuses on the ear and inner ear, including all hearing and balance disorders, facial nerve disorders, and skull base/temporal bone tumors. Dr. Ying treats both adults and children, including newborns, who have failed a newborn hearing screening test due to a variety of conditions. She has expertise in caring for and treating patients who are hard of hearing or those who experience chronic dizziness. Dr. Ying enjoys being able to restore and improve the quality of her patients lives through their hearing and balance functions.Dr. Ying takes a multidisciplinary team approach by working closely with neurosurgeons when surgical option is necessary. She takes pride in listening and treating every patient as she would any member of her familywith compassion and kindness.Dr. Ying is currently on faculty in the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark. She is also a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Otosclerosis Study Group, American Neurotology Society, American Neurotology Society Young Members Group, North American Skull Base Society, and American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. Dr. Ying is also an accomplished researcher in her field.Dr. Ying is proud of her medical training and the experience she has gained to successfully treat patients, educate residents and medical students, and pursue clinically relevant research to improve lives.When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Ying enjoys spending quality time with her family.
