Filyaw's Quality Roofing

If I could give them a negative star rating I would!!!! DO NOT EVER HIRE THESE PEOPLE. Bo Filyaw or his son Kelly Filyaw! They are scam artists. They lied to us about their affiliation with another reputable roofing company, required the payment in full, told us it was a 1 day job, and they'd have everything done, old shingles removed, new ones on, and cleaned up in 1 weekend while we were out of town. 2 weeks later, after multiple calls and no answers we had partial shingles off, even less shingles on, and not even stacked the right way. They disappeared and wouldn't return our calls or anything. The entire back of our house had no shingles or anything on it. They even ruined OUR tarp by throwing old shingles on top of it, making us have to go spend $125 more on another tarp that would cover our exposed roof they wouldn't finish. We had a heavy rain before we got a new tarp, which led to water leaking into our house, including our then less than 2 year old son's crib. We had to wake him up at midnight to put him in our bed and move furniture to keep it from getting ruined. Then my fiance and I both had to miss work to put on the new tarp before more rain came. They never finished our roof, kept our money, and haven't been heard from since. They are doing this to people all around our area and are plain out sorry excuses for human beings. On top of everything else, no other reputable roofers would touch our roof to finish it because the work they did was all wrong, and anyone else required we have everything removed and start over from scratch. And because we'd already paid them in full (definitely wrong on our part), that just wasn't an option for us. We proceeded with magistrates court and they didn't even show. They were issued a judgment against them, which doesn't give us our money back but at least its something. Bottom line, you'll regret it if you ever hire these people!!!!!! DO NOT HIRE ANY FILYAWS!!!!!!!!

This company dumped old shingles and other debrie on my property. That shows how much they respect others. They also left enough evidence that the law was able to locate them. I would think twice before using a company with no respect for others.

This man is a pure scam artist. He is a liar and a cheat. He set up a contract with my mother, asked for a $2100 deposit and has not been heard from since. I will do everything in my power to ensure he does not get to anyone else. My mother is elderly and on a fixed income. I hate that I was not in SC when this occured.

This is the worst company ever. They lie, cheat, and steal. I unfortunately came acoss this company's listing from the yellow pages. I've learned just because they are a proclaimed "business" does not mean they are trust worthy. I called for an estimate, they came out, and I agreed to the deal discussed. They requested a deposit, which I gladly paid and have yet to have any services rendered. I have called and visited the place of business demanding my deposit or service and each time I was given a broken promise which in other words "lies" saying they are going to do the work. It's been 2 months and still no service. Think twice before using these people for anything.

I used BoFilyaw and his Roofing Company to re-roof my house after a hail storm sent everyone in town scrambleing for a roofing contractor. They came and did the work, and were more than happy to take a check as payment in full. HOWEVER several months later I noticed the first leak. I called and let them know that there was a leak and was told that it would be addressed promptly. That was call one of over twenty calls that I have made to multiple Phone numbers. Everytime I have been promised resolution to the leaks and water damage. Sometime around call number thirteen or fourteen they sent someone to come check the leaks. The leaks were the result of poor cauking against the soffet and the guy that repaired it said it was just done poorly in the first place. The leaks have dried up, but the water damage to the roof still has not been repaired. Bo has personally promised me on six or seven different calls that he would send some one that very day to repair the water damage. This stil has not occured. I relly didn't want to write a negative review and had decided not to if the damage was reapired, but at this point I would be extremely surprised if I ever see him again. If you use Filyaw roofing, I hope you have no problems, but don't expect them to correct the issue if you do. btw They also left nails and trash all over my yard. I still find nails from the job. Bottles in the bushes, shingles everywere, Enough nails to roof the neighbors house too. there are too many options to choose this company.

We had the misfortune of driving behind Mr. Filyaw as he was driving to a worksite. We watched him pitch an empty bottle out his window. I followed him to his worksite and asked him to pick up his bottle. He rudely responded "leave me alone" and said a few more nasty things to try to intimidate me, even though I had my two young children in the car with me. Before you hire him, consider whether you'd like to entrust your property to someone with such poor character. Mr. Filyaw, shame on you!
