General Info

Established in 1950, Riverbend Center provides a variety of mental health, substance abuse and psychiatric services to citizens of northwest Alabama. It is a locally operated, public nonprofit facility serving more than 7,500 clients every year throughout Colbert, Franklin and Lauderdale countries in Alabama. It provides an array of professional medical and rehabilitative services for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses, substance abuse and emotional conditions. It provides a variety of services, including outpatient and residential programs, and individual, family and group sessions designed to meet the need of clients. Its outpatient services are provided to children, adolescent and adults who are experiencing psychiatric, adjustment, substance abuse and behavioral problems that require diagnostic evaluation and treatment. The centre offers various adult programs, such as day and residential, substance abuse and geriatric; and children and adolescent programs; including summer and preschool programs and substance abuse. It is located in Florence, Ala.
