A rather hurtful experience with a man working at Walmart today triggered this memory of its neighbor Sams. This is a while back. I am walking in minding my own business. I've given Sam's Club all over the South several thousands of dollars of business for many years. This man is taking donations for the veterans on Memorial Day. Happy to do it! But for no reason - I mean NO REASON - he snaps, How about a donation? as if ordering me and then snaps, How about if I shoot that dog off your purse? I have a black Scottie embroidered on my purse. SORRY! I say, oh no, lightheartedly, and he whips his back around on me with a real dirty look, ready to ask for the next donation from the next customer! Last time I was here I checked out and a woman looked at my card, laughed at me, mispronounced my name, and actually asked me to upgrade after all that. I've been asked to upgrade for years - don't they know people would upgrade if they wanted to? I barely go into Sams anymore anyway. Wonder why?
Very welcoming Storefront and displays. Wide variety of Food, Beverage and House Cleaning items as well as Pet supplies. Florist and gift section as well as a Fast Customer Service Desk. The staff are always friendly, helpful and will actually help you take your groceries out. Warm and Clean areas. Nice choices in Wine and Meat, with fresh produce. Sadly these warm and inviting home town Grocery Stores are becoming extinct and Walmart is definetly part of the problem, not to mention they wont help you and speak nothing but "policy this or that"......this Foodland is around the corner to a Walmart in Petersville, yet they are holding their own. I would recommend staying away from W and get to know the folks at Foodland. I live nearby and I enjoy this one tremendously. Thank you for the Great Service and prices. I make a special hour-long trip to Publix because I'm stuck in a part of Tennessee where there is no Publix, only Walmart and Krogers (argh). They are ALWAYS nice to me in Publix. They treat you like you are somebody. And they sell wine! Cool! I love Publix!
