Aides are excellent. Very kind and attentive. Home is clean and well maintained. highly recommend!
If I could give them a rating below a one-star I would! Rude, abusive workers. Its a nightmare. My friend was there and lost all her will to live because of the treatment she received, patients go 4 or 5 hours without being changed. No compassion at all in this place!
If I could give them a rating below a one-star I would! Absolutely do not send you a relative here if you care about them. They are not only abusive and neglectful. They just don't care. The staff abandons patients. I have seen them leave one Aid on an entire floor of over 30 people. They are rude and unfriendly. Patients go up to 4 to 5 hours at a time without being changed. I have reported them to Lansing. If the state cares anything about the well-being of the people in its system, they should close this place down!
Even though our mother resided at Sugar Bush Manor for only a month before passing away, our family can not say enough about the care, compassion, understanding, patience, and support we received from the staff. Our mother was in very frail health upon being admitted, but she was given so much care and attention from the entire staff. In such a short time, our family grew to know and love the staff and they became like friends. We can not say enough about the aides and the wonderful care they provided to our mother. They were the best. Jannine, Crickett, Becky and Trish were wonderful to work with and always gave the family their patience and understanding. All in all, we give this facility much credit for having wonderful people who truly care about the residents, which is so reassuring to family members. We highly recommend this home to anyone in need of such a place. It truly felt like home!
Poor health care systemPoor welcoming , and how much poor of attending to patients allows then to figure out things so w that 4th floor management is very poor ones house there should not have reason to ask for things that ruling for them to
We toured the facility and were given false information s/a manager stating there were many daily actvities, outings, patient care & interaction, etc.. all which are miss leading!! Because of poor staffing and unqualified pt. care, Ladies are just waiting around to die!!! So sad...Very low staffing for activities which means nothing available for brain(cognitive)stimulus or phyical rehabilitation. Not a happy cheerful place to be, however, the place seems clean, tvs are broken in lounging areas, they have outdated equipment so no-one is encouraged to participate causing boredom, early sickness and loneliness!!! Take your loved ones elsewhere!!
I just recently got home from Briarwood. I can't say enough about how wonderful this facility is. It changed my life. I had a cracked hip and torn ligaments in my right leg. Briarwood not only taught me to walk again but the kindness and caring of the ENTIRE staff gave me the desire to live again to the fullest.I am 75 and feel like a kid again because of Briarwood.I would recommend this place to anyone who needs therapy.Thank you Briarwood !!!Siena K. This nursing Home does not take good care of their patients. They leave them in bed most of the day if they need assistance getting up. and treat them badly. My Brother has been here for several years and my brothers teeth and glasses were stolen and they will not even help him get replacements. He has had two strokes in their and his one hand is crippled. He needs assistance getting up and into the bathroom, The workers put a diaper on him and leave him in bed almost all day, with no physical therapy so they are not bothered by him.very sad. That the workers sit around and talk and joke all day instead of taking care of their patients.I would give them 0 star rating but I have to choose one.
