My wife and I just left this place for the first and last time! Both of us have strong culinary backgrounds and know and appreciate good food; you will not find it here. Not only is their pricing ridiculous, but the food in general is bland at best.
Let's start our experience after we were seated...I was quite confused by the fact that the party next to us, who arrived five minutes after us, were already giving their order to OUR waitress before we were asked. Was it because they are regulars? Maybe.
When we finally were privileged to give our order, the waitress (JoJo) spoke to my wife as though she were eight years old. Was it because my wife is Asian? Maybe.
Now appears the owner who is greeting his patrons table side. He spoke with our neighbors to the left and three neighbors to the right and the to the two tables across the aisle; even helping the ladies with their coats. Hmmmm...it seems that we are invisible. Was it because we were not dressed as well as our neighbors? Maybe.
Everyone around us appeared as though they had just left their Church services...funny, we attend Church regularly as well. Could our invisibility be due to the fact that we didn't fit the typical Christian stereotype? Maybe.
Now we have received our food and first off I'm a bit put out by the presentation. All I wanted was a good burger and to serve it open face is common, but not with the top bun, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle face down. Immediately I now have to not only go to work flipping and removing what I did not want, but get my hands dirty in the process. I was already quite aggravated at the cole slaw I was served earlier that was incredibly tasteless. The amount of fries on my plate left me wondering if they were down to their last potato. Oh, did I mention that the tasteless cole slaw and the 12 french fries cost me an additional $1.80?
Now let's take a look at my wife's order... She ordered Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo which comes with a bowl of soup. The soup was Lemon Chicken, which was acceptable provided you have a salt lick handy for some kind of seasoning. Again, "bland" seems to be a re-accuring theme here. The pasta dish was "interesting" the shrimp were actually cooked nicely and flavorfully, unfortunately matched with over-cooked pasta and Alfredo sauce that was obviously from a bag mix, diminishes the overall dish. She also received garlic toast that unfortunately should have come with the soup as the salt content was unbelievably high! It could have been better utilized to flavor the soup instead.
Throughout our dining fiasco, our JoJo only inquired about "things" at the end of the meal; not very timely. Oh yeah...it was also the only time my wife was asked if her coffee needed a warm-up. Too late JoJo. I hope she's not wondering why she only got a dollar tip.
I could hardly contain my laughter when we were leaving and I heard "bye bye, come back again soon!" coming from behind me. I somehow don't see that happening...

I LOVE eating in this restaurant. Its confortable, stylish with a huge menu. The salads are wonderful. The staff is even better. The owner takes the time to say hello to everyone. I love it and will continue to keep eating here. This is one of Flint's little gems. Check it out!
