Long time visitors of this restaurant. We love the wait staff (yes, we have a favorite waitress) and the managers visit the tables to make sure you are satisfied. Great people - great food - great prices!
Food here is great. Eating the fish tacos right now, my favorite. There are so many good sammiches (sandwiches). Just start at the top of the menu and work your way down because you will definitely be returning.
We waited two hours. We spoke with the staff multiple times asking after our reservation. We were told that we would be helped soon. Nothing! Many were taken that arrived after us. We go up again and they had scratched our name. Oh, we seated that table. Umm, when? We had been asking about it every 20 minutes or so.They then blamed us. They never even called our party's name. For such an expensive place, they have shoddy service. Go to the grill right next door for better food and quicker service!
parking a little small but plenty of perimeter parking, Good lighting,Nice game room that can also be used for small party of 54. the drinks are amazing fresh ingredients.
Great place for all to eat, kids love it, waitstaff is usually good. Tuesdays kids meals half off , can't wait for next time we go.
SPECIAL ALERT----EATING AT A RESTAURANT!!!For all the folks, young and old, that enjoy eating at a restaurant-----at least once in a while, read the post----important.Would you even consider entering a restaurant that told you that you could NOT bring in your own BOTTLE OF WATER to have with your meal??? What kind of nonsense is this? WATER----something that is FREE at ever restaurant! Everyone that I have talked to said that they would BOYCOTT a restaurant like this! ME TOO!! The name of this restaurant is WESTSIDE DINER----located on Ballenger Hwy, one block north of miller rd in Flint. It was posted on the internet that this restaurant had City of Flint water----but I guess that is not true. But, still the owner says that you can NOT bring in your own bottle of water. Hes afraid that it will look bad because of the internet post by Public Officials (they could not come up with any other excuse). I hope that all of you's out there will join me in NOT entering this restaurant until the owner changes his mind about his WATER POLICY. Further updates will be posted as time progresses. Until then, remember the name WESTSIDE DINER on Ballenger Hwy. At Miller Rd. Thank you for your thoughts and consideration. God Bless!!Anonymous
Excellent food. Staff was pleasant and efficient, and happy to talk when not busy. Omelets are well made, and toast is good, as well. I recommend you try the Westside.
I have eaten here with my husband on our lunch dates many of Fridays. Prices are great, waitstaff is excellent and it is the quickest service of anywhere I have been. Except for Christmas Eve 2015- I took my entire 7 person family to breakfast. Perhaps they tried a little too hard to prepare our meal quickly, because the 3rd bite into my omelet I found that the bacon was really chewy. Only to find out that I was chewing on a bread tie!!! They replaced my omelet. I walked away paying the $75 bill and was very disappointed. I am undecided if I will return. Its hard to swallow that I could have swallowed a bread tie. :(
The food has been amazing every time I have been here. The prices are even better! Love this place. I took a friend today and she has decided it is our new regular spot to go to.
