I had a wedding to attend, in Boston. I needed two children's dresses altered in 10 days. They were to be flower girls in the wedding. We called to see if they would be able to have them altered in time -- the owner, who also runs the shop, said we would be able to pick them up the Friday before we were to fly out, without a problem. We went in that Friday, the shop was closed. The fax machine was the only thing picking up the phone. Unable to get a hold of her, we had to have a relative overnight us the dresses.When my relative arrived, they were unfinished -- and she wouldn't give them back! The owner kept making excuses, and wouldn't admit to being closed the previous Friday until my relative said she was going to stay at her store until she gave the dresses back. She still charged $40 for unfinished alterations, wouldn't apologize and didn't think she did anything wrong.Do not go to Kit.
