I Rarely do reviews but this one is a must..... I went online to see what Crest Ford had to offer. They had a feature the was a credit score estimator. I tried it and the number was higher than my actual score. Let's just say that our credit isn't the greatest. I provided my email to see if someone could help us out. Mr. Christopher Merriman emailed me back and started a dialog with us. He was very helpful. I have dealt with many car salesmen in my time and most of them I find hard to trust but not Mr. Merriman. He was really working for us trying to get us into the car we wanted and not just trying to make a sale. To make a long story short he was able to help us. I had a great experience with these people. I left a deposit on my car for 2 days, when I was in there a man was trying to buy the car from under me and offering more. The salesman said he had a deposit on it and he couldn't. You should have put a deposit on the vehicle if you were that committed to buying it. Also, whatever happened to your great case about you being right from your lawyer? Since then, two of my family members have also bought cars from them and they have always treated us great and we havent had any problems with our cars. Don't judge a business on one bad experience.
I brought my 2010 Escape into Crest Ford to be serviced. While I waited I decided to look at new cars. I worked with Chris Merriman to see what my options were for selling my Escape and purchasing or leasing a new vehicle. I ended up selling my 2010 Escape and leasing a new 2014 Titanium Escape. I went to Crest to purchase my first vehicle. Some have financial restrictions - for example, contractors in California must have a license if they want to work on a job with a total cost of more than $500. Homeowners can search the website of their state or local government for a list of licensed professionals.
- Are you insured? Generally, insurance covers damage to people or property during the construction process. It can, but doesn't always, cover the cost of a poor job. Get the specifics of a contractor's insurance policy before agreeing to construction.
- Are you bonded? A bond covers the performance gaps in insurance, ensuring the contractor fulfills the terms of his or her contract. Bonding protects consumers from poor work and certain financial obligations, like obtaining supplies and permits.
- What is your warranty? Ask for specific details about the warranties offered, including what types of damage and maintenance are covered and when. Some warranties contain complex or confusing clauses and don't cover common repairs such as pool resurfacing. Never work with a contractor who doesn't offer a warranty.
- How long will the job take? A detailed timeline will prevent any unexpected gaps in construction, weather permitting. Some contractors start a job, leave for a few days, and finish later.
