As the busiest Safeway in the state of AZ, it has its shortcomings and such, but the staff can be straight up rude. Most of the common cashiers display polished customer service, but the other customers are absolutely wretched. I've been literally called sexual slurs by people (in front of employees, who then did nothing). The gas station is alright, but the fuel is sub-par. I've seen expired food sitting on the shelves on occasions, but have usually had my issues resolved on the spot. The only trustworthy members of management I can recall are Elizabeth ("Liz") and Charlotte. Basically, if you ever have a problem here, talk to one of those two gals or find somewhere else. :(



Upon entering this safeway, i received that immediate feeling of unwelcomness that you get from time to time. This feeling was solidly confirmed no less than 10 minutes into my visit. Looking for a specific item, i asked an employee where i may find the popcorn. A fairly general item one would think, assuming to compentency of course. The employee said they did not know where the item was and would go ask. I waited and waited, and still had no reply after 15 minutes. I then persued to browse the store finding it myself with no aid. Then i went into the meats section to look for some steak filets, however most of the meat in the cases had a grey and slightly greenish tint to it. I asked a meat department employee about this, to which they replied, "Um, i dont know what that is. It should be fine though." SHOULD be fine? I just walked away in disghust. So fastforwarding to the checkout line, my credit card was having problems. Not on my end, but i had come to find out the cashier was pushing a wrong button. The cashier, a General Manager named "Christine" even at that, had become to get beligerant with me, saying i was messing it up to the point where she was yelling. Then she actually found out that she had been hitting a wrong key (smack in the head).

Overall i experienced unheard of customer service towards a negative perspective, extreme rudeness, and lack of knowledge. Three key deficiancies which shouldn't have to be tolerated by anyone. AVOID THIS "BUSINESS" BY ALL MEASURES.
