Debra is awesome! She gives exceptional hair cuts and color is always perfect. She always works me in and she is very much in demand. As long as Debra is there I will keep going back
My second time coming here was not a good experience to say the least. I had previously had balayage done by one of their stylists and wanted to go for a more all blonde look with dark roots (I showed a few pictures of the overall idea of what I wanted ) I was told it might not become that blond which I was okay with. So she bleached my hair and it came out orange in different sections. She realized she had to redo it, she then rebleached my hair. So after spending 6+ hours there, the sections she had tried to correct had blunt orange lines. She agreed to redo it the following Monday which inconvenienced me on going home for Thanksgiving. For the 4 days in-between i wore my hair in a bun. I drove over an hour Monday night after work during rush hour to have it fixed. She bleached my hair again (it's nice and dry now) and it did become a cooler toned blonde and the orange was gone....except for the roots. The roots are done horribly and it's honestly embarrassing, I said it was fine because the salon was closing and I was not going to let her do anything else to my hair. Then they still decided to charge me! I mentioned all the issues I had, so for all of my inconveniences I was discounted the $25 treatment I get added to the bleach and then a sample size of shampoo/conditioner....lol. Now for thanksgiving tomorrow I will have my hair in a pony tail with some dark eyeshadow blended into my roots covering the horrible job. Very very disappointing experience.
Wonderful salon and services. I love the talented owner, Melinda Fahenholz and I love my haircut! I will be back!
This place is horrible. I had the stylist name Steven and he was very rude, insensitive, and not a easy person to talk to work with. I was in town and I wanted to support a local business especially someone in the gay/lesbian community. However, this was not the place to go and he was very judgemental as he made references to about other clients. Dude! Not professional at all!
Great customer service! My brother and I always come here for hair cuts. The owners are fantastic and provide a very comfortable atmosphere. I recommend this hair salon 100%
I went to this salon because it was a day they did $9.99 haircuts. I was charged $4.00 more because I had my hair layered. I have never paid for layering before and it was an awful haircut.
Do not go to this salon. I went for the 6.99 advertised haircut which I advise then when I signed in. The stylist was nice and the cut was okay, just a 6.99 cut. When I checked out I was advised that they considered my hair long and applied a 5.00 surcharge. I don't mind paying for services but I do insist on being in control how I spend my hard earned money. If I had been advised they were going to charge me more than the 6.99 for a trim because my hair was to my shoulders I would have been able to make the decision to have my hair cut there or somewhere else. The manager said she could not do anything about it because the owner was always looking over her shoulder. She said she agreed with me but there was nothing she could do about it. I don't know if this was the truth but my advise STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISREPUTABLE BUSINESS! I would have given negative stars but that was not an option
As a first time client , I went to this salon with a $6.99 haircut coupon in hand. I asked that I get the haircut and would also like a blow dry and style. I never would have imagined paying almost $30 just for a blow dry and have a straightening iron run over my hair. My hair looked terrible ! But , I figured for $6.99 + I would just deal with it. When she said $36 , I nearly fell over. Rip off !
Elaine's Salon is a hidden gem in Fishers, Indiana!! To make a long story short, I got married on Sunday, May 26, 2013...RACE DAY!! Not only are all salons usually closed on Sundays (something I did not think about when we booked our wedding date), but no one...and I mean NO ONE...will open their doors for you on Race Day. I literally called everyone in the Noblesville/Carmel area and then started making my way further out towards Indy and came across Elaine's in a Google search. Thank goodness for Google!! Not only did the ladies at Elaine's offer to open their doors just for me, but they were happy to do so (and their bridal package prices are pretty reasonable compared to others in town)!! Robin, the owner, did my nails a couple of days in advance and even gave me her cell number just in case anything got messed up or chipped. How amazing is that?! Wendy did my hair and makeup on the day of (+ my mom's and MOH's) and everyone looked fantastic! I have never looked so beautiful (but still natural) in all of my life, and as the bride, that's exactly how it should be! The staff at Elaine's is BEYOND amazing...they are incredibly talented, their service is top-notch and the salon is beautiful and modern!! I would highly recommend them to other brides in the area who want to look amazing on their wedding day and everyone else in town who needs a haircut/mani/pedi/etc.
