Copied from my BBB complaint:""On the drive home from the dealership I noticed that the sun roof didn't work and sounded like it was letting a lot of wind in. So, I sent an email letting them know. Here is the email I sent as soon as I got to work:"Hello XXXXX,I came in and drove a 2010 Lincoln MKZ off the lot today. I loved the drive back to downtown. However, the sunroof does not work and has a fair amount of wind noise. Would it be okay if I brought the car back for you to look at it?"There was no response, so I follow up with a call about 15 minutes ago (24 hours after driving the car off the lot). That's where things got out of control.I introduced myself and told him (I believe the owner) what my problem was. He (owner) informed me that they new about the issue and that they don't work on sunroofs. So, I asked, calmly, why they didn't disclose the defect when I test drove or purchased the car. He (owner) told me that he wasn't there when I test drove it. So, I told him, again frustrated but calmly, that I found that answer unacceptable. It would have been nice to know that there was an issue before I purchased the car. At this point he starts yelling at me. When I told him, again calmly, he was yelling he claimed he wasn't... He then proceeded to not allow me to speak" for about 3 minutes while he yelled at me over the phone. I wasn't able to get a word in edge wise. I then said, well this conversation is obviously over and I would be getting it fixed and then going from there. He then proceeded to accuse me of threatening him and yelling more for another 3 minutes. That's when I told him the conversation was over and I hung up.When I got off the phone my boss even mentioned how crazy that conversation was as he could overhear the guy (owner) yelling at me and how I couldn't get a word in.I would suggest that, no matter the price, no one purchase a car from this place... I love the car, but already regret having given this guy any of my money.""
I drove out to this business with all intensions on purchasing a vehicle or two from this location and was met with a disrespectful sale rep. That yelled at me when I asked "have either of these vehicles been in an accident" and "what issues do you know of that exist on either of these vehicles?" He told me " You, pull up in a 50-thousand-dollar truck and try to back me in the corner on the two cheapest trucks on my lot!" I then replied that we will not be doing business and I suggested that he doesn't treat the next customer that walks in the door asking about a vehicle like this. I was told "don't tell me how to do my job and I wont tell you how to do yours!"Desired Resolution: No further contact by the business
Bought a 2008 Cobalt from here. Friendly service, went above and beyond to make us happy. A year later and the car is running like a dream still. I'd certainly buy another vehicle from here.
U guys where very rude! U judged a friend of mine as if they were some no good drug addict and as if they couldn't afford ur prices! Never will I... or if I can help it, anyone I know give u any buisness!
Bought 2 vehicles in last few years happy with everything............S Ettner
I love Lucas Smith Dodge. They have a friendly staff and sales team and my family has bought cars from this dealership for years. I have no complaints.
This dealership is a joke they treat customers like dirt and over charge and laugh about it. And when they worked on my car they replaced wrong items to get extra money wishing I would have them repare it again I recommend never going here. Late on every promise they ever made.. when I questioned them about the wrong part they told me leave it's not there problem and never come back I'm banned..
I have never been so insulted by a company. The man who handled my application and phone conversation was very rude and condescending. Here we are talking about my finances and as I explained to him that my bankruptcy was because of a business I closed due to the economy…he explained that “ he knows about business, he has been in business for 22 years….(WHAT selling cars?! WTF cares…I mean real business)”. All excuses aside, I have a bankruptcy open. When he asked me about a down payment, I explained that if I had the cash …I wouldn’t try financing a car; I would go to craigslist and outright purchase a car and cut out the middleman prices. BOY he hit the roof….”well if you don’t trust us and would rather buy from a person…DO you buy furniture from individuals, or fruit he asks.” Fruit…really? No, I buy my fruit from a grocery store, and I purchased my furniture new, this is a used car…The man proceeded to tell me that “maybe that is why my business failed--- (why? Because of my reservations of salesmen?)…Really…I asked, “Why would you want to say that….” THIS man is EXACTLY why consumers would much rather go to the dentist, rather than buy a new car from a salesman. Rock on buddy….keep the reputation of car salesmen alive – of sneaky, greasy, greedy little salesmen-with your negative, condescending, ignorant attitude and your ill-chosen remarks. This salesman, owner, manager….WHOEVER…had no right to speak to me the way he did. He had no right to place judgment on neither my lifestyle nor my financial situations. He especially had no right to tell me why my business failed. He is a peon selling cars….I am an educated, well respected woman, and I will list my review of this poor dealership experience on EVERY local car review I can find. No consumer should be treated like I was by this idiot. And now I have a goal to let every consumer know exactly what a piece of …work this dealership represents. And next time your establishment decides that they want to talk down and insolent to a customer…they may think twice
A friend of mine went in to get his new car fixed and it seemed every time it was fixed, while fixing it they messed something else up. After multiple trips in to get a simple sunroof fixed, on the last visit when he thought everything was fine he noticed a crack in the windshield. When he confronted the sales manager he first said yes it could have been something they did. When he went to get that fixed they refused and the story changed, them saying that it was already cracked. BBB has been informed and Lucas Smith is refusing to reimburse for the windshield. People need to know about things like this even if it is something little. Not everyone can keep on paying money for things that weren’t their fault all because the businesses we try to support want to take advantage.
