I walked in to have a simple Identify Verification done for Capital One credit card company. At first the teller told me I could be helped by the licensed banker on call. Miss Teal Christoffersen. However, once I was in her office, she told me she had no idea what I was asking for. I told her the credit card company told me it was a simple procedure any bank could do, she just needed to confirm my ID was valid and that is was me over the phone on a recorded line. I called the credit card company and they explained everything to her on the phone. She acted as if I was a nuisance and then proceeded to excuse herself saying she would need to speak with her boss. Then she returned and said this is not something she could do for me and that I needed to leave. I was left on the line with my credit card company with no explanation as to why I was being refused this basic procedure. I was embarrassed and treated unfairly at this Bank. I have put in a formal complaint at the Better Business Bureau of Eastern Michigan and Detroit denouncing this discrimination and poor customer service. Think twice about using this bank.
