Biography: Scot Ackerman, M.D., Board Certified in Radiation Oncology, is the medical director of Ackerman Cancer Center. After completing his training at Columbia University in New York City, he came to Jacksonville and has been in private practice for more than 25 years, serving as an integral force in Florida’s fight against cancer.

During his tenure at St. Vincent’s Healthcare, he immersed himself in patient advocacy and community awareness. He continues to support these ideals and is a strong believer in individualized patient care. Currently, Dr. Ackerman oversees the First Coast Cancer Foundation, is a council member for the Brooks College of Health at the University of North Florida and is a board member of WeCare Jacksonville.
