Great business! I will tell all my friends about Sirvac for their vacuum needs! The people who work there are very good at their jobs.

I have had nothing but positive experiences at this sewing machine repair shop!

Rhonda picked up and delivered my machine. When she brought the machine back to me she actually gave me a free sewing lesson!

Two weeks is a very average/typical timeframe in which someone waits to get their machine back .

This is a family business and I have dealt with the entire family – last time was the son, and have been treated professionally by all.

Scam artists!I don't even have enough time to write everything. Went there on two different occasions with warranty as advised by Hoover. Today I have a totally different, sub par, non working machine which the lady insists is mine! Shame on me for being so trusting and not securing my serial number, etc. Never, ever go here! The people are unprofessional, lazy, disorganized liars who are expert distractors!

I see a lot of reviews for the vacuums. I hear they are pretty good. We decided to bring in our Emerald Sewing machine on a Thursday. We didn't know what happened to our machine and since Joann's doesn't ship out the machines till Wednesday we opted this business. Within a week, they told us the motor was burned out. For the same cost, we went ahead with the repair. It took about 2 weeks for the part to come in and to replace it. So three weeks later, we finally have our machine back. It violently shook when in operation. It didn't do that before the motor replacement. Going back to Sir Vac, we found out, they did not re-tune and balance the machine and it was a separate cost! It was going to be an additional cost to diagnose the machine and another cost if something happened. We were fed up by this point. We just took it to Joann's to get all done. Apparently a piece was broken by the first repair and Sir Vac refused to fix it. Went through our credit card company to get a refund on the repair because breaking the machine, causing an additional problem they caused. Should have just sent it through Joann's and be without the machine for 2 weeks rather than an entire month.

Horrible service

Never, never, never get your vacuum fixed here!!! Worse customer service and it took forever to fix and she made excuses all the time. They even gave me the wrong vacuum at first I had to go back up and they lost my brand new filter and they lost the filter cover she said she had to search for it at the factory and then denied the wrong conversation ever took place when I went back to get back my vacuum. Very unorganized and just a horrible experience all together.

Stay away. The people there w...

Stay away. The people there were very abrupt and acted like they were doing me a favor and without looking at the sweeper, the woman said, oh this won't be a warranty repair. At no time did she mention any charge for looking at the sweeper and estimating any cost if indeed, the problem was not covered under my 3 year warranty. The sweeper is less than a year old.and has only been used in a townhouse. First she told me it was filled with powder and they had to clean it all out. I told her I did not use any powder. Then she used an arm and hammer bag in the sweeper. How in the world she determined that many sweeper was filled with powder is a mystery. Do they tell everyone this same fabrication? Apparently yes.l I spoke with a teacher I work with and she said I know that place and I would never go back. She remembered it because it looked like a creepy shack, the people were abusive, and they told her 10 years ago that her sweeper was filled with powder!!!!!

When the clerk called and told me it would cost apprx $80 to repair ( which is half as much as the sweeper initially cost from Khols) I felt that was excessive. I ordered parts from Hoover for less than $35 and assumed I would be able to pick up my sweeper without problem. I now have a message telling me Sir Vac wants to charge me approx. $40 for their estimate. This is absurd. If any cost were to be involved, this needs to be clearly stated. I was surprised that Hoover, a terrific company, would have an association with such an inferior business.

As a follow up when Hoover contacted Sir Vac, they now claim I put petroleum jelly on the ends of the rollers. This is apparently their 2nd line lie. It would never occur to me to do such a thing. Hoover now has a registered complaint to investigate against this awful business

On Tuesday, 2/21/2012 I brough...

On Tuesday, 2/21/2012 I brought in my Singer XL6000 Embroidery/Sewing Machine in for repairs.

I was told that I would be provided with an estimate of the work needed to repair my machine. I was charged 39.95 + 2.40 tax, totaling $42.35. No work was to be performed without my approval. Upon approval the estimate charge would be deducted from the total charge to repair the machine.

The person at Sir Sew & Vac (female), said I would be contacted within a week. A week had passed & I did not hear from them, so I went back in to see them on Thursday, 3/1/2012. I was told that they had to order fuses because mine were blown. I stressed to them that I did not want any work done until I knew how much the cost would be. They assured me that they would not invest anything without my approval.

Again, a few weeks had passed & I went in to see them again on Thursday, 3/15/2012. At that time they informed me that they thought it was a Step Motor problem. They needed to call Singer to order parts. Again, I stressed not to do anything without getting me a price.

Again, I did not hear from them, so I went back in on Monday, 3/26/12. They said that Singer will not sell them the part,(Because they are not an authorized Singer Dealer) & that they would have to professionally pack my machine & ship it to Singer for the repair. I once again stressed not to send it to Singer until we had a confirmed price for the repair. They were going to call Singer & get back to me.

Again, I did not hear from them, so I went in a week later on Monday, 4/2/12 & the women said that Singer did not get back to her. At that point she got on the phone & rudely told Singer that she wanted to speak to someone that would provide better customer service. Sir Sew & Vac did not provide good customer service to me, since she not once called me. I had to constantly follow up.

At that point I told her, that I just wanted my machine back & I was going to take it elsewhere. She said I would have to come back the next day because her repair man needed to take the fuses that they spent money on out of my machine.

I went back the next day on Tuesday, 4/3/12 and got my machine & requested that my original charge for an estimate be refunded back to me. She told me that she would not refund it, because she gave me an estimate. The only thing I received from her was another receipt stating "Estimate 39.95, needs motor, Factory said Poss Circuit Board"

I informed her that this was not an estimate. It did not have any price for parts & labor which is what an estimate is. We argued about what an estimate should entail, and then she grabbed the receipt back from me and added "Poss 500.00 to repair". This is still not an estimate.

This shop acted unprofessionally, wasted over 7 weeks of my time, took $42.35 from me & I still have no idea what is wrong with my machine or how much it would cost to fix it.

My decision to have the machine fixed or not fixed was going to be based on the cost of the estimate. I wanted to make sure that machine was worth fixing .

This Store is a Treasure Find

I personally hated cleaning until I discovered Sir Vac and its staff. What a great group of people. They showed me how to make cleaning fun and easy. I purchased my first real vacuum from them and it is total quality. Not the junk you find in department stores (plastic, cheap, junk). I paid a little more and found a vacuum with terrific suction and its all metal...The Royal. I feel like royalty using this powerful, commercial quality machine and now I am not uncomfortable about going barefoot in my own home. My new Royal Canister is great for dusting the A/C vents, and my Hummer, and Lexus. Happy New Year to me! I would definitely recommend going to these people for proper cleaning instruction.

Maids R Me

Great little business if your trying to learn how to properly clean a home. I purchased a Royal Steam Vac and have never had any problems with it after 6 years. Yesterday I went back and worked with Rhonda, the owner and she sold me what I think is the best vacuum I have ever owned...a Sanitaire upright with a mini canister. My family loves it and we are now ready to clean our home.

Love this shop!

My Husband and I went shopping for a new vacuum and discovered this shop on 17-92 in Fern Park Florida...what an amazing place to do business. Rick was outstanding with the explanation of how to change the bag and belt on our machine. While there we discovered the Miele canisters and are so pleased with our purchace. Can't wait to shop their sewing machines next. Good Service is not a thing of the past.

What people say is correct, they are the BEST!

took my coughing, wheezing, tired vacuum cleaner here the other day after having left it out in the yard over night to get rained on just to test the expertise of Central Vacuum. Since I only use the vacuum to suck up the cat hair that wafts through my house on a constant basis from the three cats that have taken up residence here, I figured that when it stopped sucking so much that might have something to do with it. Turns out, I was right!
I took the vacuum in and got it back the same day. It was so shiny and clean when I picked it up that I thought I had lucked out and he swapped it with a new one! I kind of felt like I was getting away with something, he only charged $60!!!
I put it to the test...the one carpet in the house, not vacuumed for more than a week. Worked like a dream!
What more can I say?

Oh Happy Day!

I have been a customer of Sir Vac and Sew since I was a child going to shop for a new vacuum meant one thing...we would be buying top of the line, quality. We Love our Royal all metal vacuum and the service is minimal...recently I took my college age daughter to Sir Vac and they sold her a vacuum for her dorm...all the girls love it and now I know she will continue to use them. Wow.What an amazing little store...we were so glad to hear about their new building going up in 2012. Yippie.

Sir Vac and Sew Rocks!

I wanted an new Vacuum and Sewing Machine for Christmas cause my old ones were handed down to my son recently when he got his first apartment. Thank God for Sir Vac and Sew in Fern Park. We have done business here for the last 6 years and were fairly surprised at the top quality service and attention the gave to my husband and I. We ended up purchasing a new Miele and a new Royal upright package...what an amazing team of machines. Now my husband does the vacuum cause he loves the Royal and the maid does a much better job dusting with the Miele canister. I was also wanting to replace my old Necci Sewing Machine and found a great deal on a more up to date machine. Rick and Rhonda the owners have been doing this business their entire lives and know their stuff. They were both very informational and we feel confident that both my son and his new wife and My husband and I will continue to receive many more years of great service. Thank You Sir Vac and Sew!

Lukes now a cleaning man

Just call me Mr Clean

I have used a Royal for the past 16 years and was wondering if they still made them cause I wanted a new one. I went to Sir Vac with my wife and I purchased the upright and canister package for under 400.00 what a relief. My wife was worried about dust but we found out they now make HEPA paper bags for the canister and upright. We are thrilled. I am so glad we found this vac shop. Love the new vacs. Love Rhonda the shop keeper.

Disreputable and Rude to the nth Degree! Stay Away!!

This is the most disreputable company I've ever had the misfortune of doing business with. The woman at the front desk is rude (she hung up on me no less than twice in one day). They are also dishonest. I was quoted $69.95 for a service to my Singer sewing machine and was told it would be ready the next day. When I called the following day, she had no idea what i was talking about and told me she would get right back to me. I never heard from her the rest of the day. I called the next morning right after they opened and spoke to a man, who told me that he would work on my machine that morning. Several hours later I received a call to say that my machine was ready and that my bill was $106. I just about had a fit. I told her that she had quoted me $69.95 and that I was not happy. She told me that she would call me back and then proceded to hang up on me. Five minutes later she called back to say that they were going to give me a discount. She told me that my bill was now $93 before tax. When I asked her what my total was with the tax, she told me that she would tell me that when I picked up my machine and then proceded to hang up on me again. I am writing this review, because I am absolutely livid. One day after picking up my machine and paying over $100 (yup, the so-called discount was only $6 - Big whoop!!), my machine is broken again. Tomorrow, I'll be taking my machine in to a company that I take sewing classes at and that I know will not rip me off. Sir Vac and Sew will never see me or my money again. Beware of doing business with this company. If not now, you can be sure you'll get ripped off in the future. I agree with a previous reviewer. I wish there were a ZERO rating because that's what they deserve.

Best Place For Vacuum Repairs

Not enough stars for this great little business!
Excellent service, great communication and that little store has everything! The lady in the store kept me informed as to when my part would be in from the manufacturer to the best of her ability but it was the manufacturer who caused any delays! I thought the repair would cost me some bucks but the lady was so nice, she said the manufacturer agreed to give the part at no charge and everything was done under warranty!
Whew, I am so grateful!! I would go back to Sir Vac anyday!
