My family was waiting in line to check out. Some lady, in a shopping wheel chair, back up, hitting our shopping cart, backing the shopping cart into my five year old son. His tooth bleeding and already bruised, the cashier got the manager who wrote up an incident report, and had my son pick out a $15.00 toy on Walmart.
The people that work there are very sweet and friendly and are hard workers. I know many of those women have worked years and years there on their feet checking all day (or night). And that brings me to my gripe: the CHECKOUT LINES!!! They are ridiculous! The store will be packed and there will be 3 lines and one of them is the express. The lines will be 7 or 8 people deep with baskets that are loaded to the gill and management seems to think this is acceptable. It is frustrating to the customer and unfair to the checkers who are exhausted. Many times people with full carts go through the express because the other lines are just too long and then that means no express line. Management: LISTEN UP and start putting out more checkers. There should NOT be more than a 3 person wait. I can tell you I have begun to go elsewhere if its just a few things--dont want to be stuck in line.

On a recent shopping trip found that this Wal-Mart still had many items I was looking for. Friendly workers and well-kept store. Only negative was it's not easy to drive to, Michigan Ave was a bit confusing and I got turned around getting back out, ended up at Church Road and that doesn't go onto I-55. Google maps was a bit confusing. But now that I've driven it once, it will be easier.

I have not had one single reasonable customer service experience in this store. The final straw was last night when the express checkout cashier decided to help a guy who cut back in line instead of my daughter whom was next and had her things on the counter. This cashier (register #2 I believe) chose to help this guy by attempting to do A RETURN AND EXCHANGE at the EXPRESS CHECK OUT. This is to be done at the service desk! There was a long line of people... all were getting visibly irritated. She was having a lot of trouble so a supervisor came over. Instead of taking the customer to the service desk like she's SUPPOSED to, she continued the return/exchange at the express lane making everyone wait even longer.
I've worked for Walmart many years in the past as a cashier and supervisor so I know, very well, what the procedures are. As usual... this store refuses to follow them.
Besides this, employees are too busy socializing and playing games in the store aisle than to help customers. Making shopping experiences miserable. And never mind the fact that they NEVER seem to have many items I need...
You're better off shopping somewhere else.
