I had called this office yesterday and was given a ph# to The VA in Winston-Salem. Fine. Got a surprise call this morning from a "Dana", don't really know if this is the correct spelling of his name. The conversation started off badly as he came across with an attitude. Gave him some information in reference to my C&P exam and what the doctor told me and he told me no, the doctor did not say that and that I did not hear that, etc..It got worse after that. I asked him why would he assume I was lying about this when I am the one asking for assistance and if this is the way the conversation was going to go? He said "I'm not going to go there with you. What can I assist you with?". I told him nothing. I called back to speak to the supervisor and a " Mr. Leroy" came on the phone. I started telling him about the situation and the phone went dead. I called back right away and as Mr. Leroy answered the phone, I heard him day "don't worry about it" to someone". Then he told me the call was dropped because of "high winds". I told him how disappointed I was to be treated like that as I was a veteran only asking for assistance. If I'm responding to a question that you asked me, please don't assume I am lying. Why would I do that and jeopardize my claim? There's a lot of us veterans out there needing assistance from these organizations and I know they may carry a heavy workload, but be considerate and patient. You may be having a bad day, but we have them too. I think it's a shame this individual and his supervisor is in the position they are which is assisting veterans because when the call was ended, I was left feeling hopeless and helpless after not receiving any help but did receive their arrogance and attempts at humiliating me. I am a female veteran and I do not treat anyone like this. I hope this helps you. Think twice about dealing with with this office. They're not assisting us. Just collecting their paychecks. And probably their disability too!

This hospital is no good. Once again hubby( who is a veteran) and me and come here. Today we just wanted to get some information on tricare(who send is there) but NO ONE wanted to help, and yes I say they didn't want to help. They been rude and disrespectful, one lady didn't even let my husband finish talking. They send us from desk to desk and still no one wanted to help or try. We dealing with this va since years now and it's just getting worse. You get the feeling the employees choose the wrong job. Also this hospital was all over the news not to long ago, but they still haven't change their ways. Just so disappointing. If you want to be handled rude at its finest this is the place to go! I hope va hospital is proud of themselves !!!!
