South River Electric Membership Corp

Its 30 degrees in our house and if we wanted to have heat it would cost us roughly 40$ a day like seriously with 1 tv and a single not that big heater its costing us 15$ a day, this company is the worst

So far, I've had a bad experience with this company. They schedule black outs without notifying the residents. It's extremely inconvenient, considering I work second shift and it seems to occur the second I walk in the door.

By what legal authority is South River EMC authorized to enter private property without permission, and cut trees on said private property without permission, and leave the debris/remains in a private driveway? Additionally, by what legal authority is South River EMC not responsible for the cleanup and removal of said debris/remains? Do not reply that it was necessary, that is not the subject. The subject (question) is, what made the act legal? Thank-you.

Corrupt corporation. The staff are friendly and professional, however that does not make up for their corrupt practices for enormous $300 deposits for new accounts which are held for 36 months, in addition to exorbitant fees for connection aand/or reconnection charges for other existing customers. Also, their inability to set up accounts over the phone while requiring photocopies of social security cards is an extreme invasion of rights. Social security cards are the right of employers and employers ONLY! This company needs to be reported to the FTC and Chamber of Commerce.

Worst power company EVER!!!! went and got new services and they said it was an extra 60 bucks to turn it on the same day, when we already paid a arm and a leg to get it cut on . Mind the fact it's the next day I still have no power and it's 28 degrees in my house and I can see my own breath is just ridiculous, while they are nice and cozy in there office. If I could have I would have not went with this company but had no choice.
