Three dogs, three cats and two birds. I love, love, love this store. The people who work there are always nice, polite and customer oriented. I've never been in the store when someone has not asked if they could help me find anything. The employees know where things are located and if they carry a certain brand and/or item. The two birds I have were purchased from them; healthy and no problems. They were able to give me tips on what to look for if the birds got stressed and how to take care of them. I'm thinking that right on the receipt for the birds they gave a 30-day guarantee for their health. I've been in many pet stores and this one is the best in this area, bar none!

Pet Supermarket is the only pet shop in Fayetteville that I will visit.
Unfortunately, it is kind of hidden in a shopping center on Raeford Rd. It seems that if more people knew about this store, no one would trouble themselves elsewhere.
Cumberland County really only has three options: Aquarama, PetSmart, and Pet Supermarket:
Aquarama is too seedy; everyone smokes cigarettes while assisting customers and it is right next to a ""smoke shop"". Avoid it especially if you have children.
The store manager of the Fayetteville PetSmart told me that his store is the busiest PetSmart in the world. He admits staffing issues. While the store manager himself is great, PetSmart employees do not reflect that whatsoever, for whatever reason, and the rude staff is a huge problem. You will find apathetic or aggressive, but never a decent employee. Here is a tip: If an associate is being abrasive and asking too many questions about your aquarium or set up, you do not have to answer them. ""We reserve the right not to sell"" is something an employee can claim but it is not true, unless you explicitly state that you are going to harm the fish. Home Depot is to Lowes - as Wal-Mart is to Target - as PetSmart is to Pet Supermarket.
I keep an aquarium stocked in my classroom. I always need a lot of supplies and new items to interest the students. Pet Supermarket is the BEST! Again, I will never patron any other pet shop in the Cumberland/Robeson area.
The staff is WONDERFUL. The selection is huge and high-quality.
I am lucky to have found Pet Supermarket in Fayetteville!
I even called the MOD to let him know how happy I am to have found the pet store.

THIS store is not worth your money to shop at they sold us a 100.00 bird that was sick after we took it to the vet the Vet told us he had been very sick for a while and that what he had is transmittable to humans after paying 130.00 Dollars for bird/food/toys the OWNER laughed at us when we told them that the VET bill came to 162.10 and they won't PAY for the bill after we told them what the Vet had said I have owned birds for 30 years and never had one with this illness Gardia. DUE to the Dr, telling us we in no way caused this he has had it since we had him the Pet SHOP SHOULD be held accountable ~ WHEN we call the Pet shop with this information they laughed at us again and THIS WAS THE MANAGER POOR BUISNESS ethics will keep me from ever going back unless they come clean with our VET BILL this is a write off to them and yet we are to suffer the consequences of POOR BUSINESS relations with a rotten company I WOULD ADVISE shop at the larger chains of PET shops as this store should shut down since they sell sick animals... I WOULD NEVER do that to a customer....
